when you order the new bottle kit you get both, platic and metal tube needle

not sure if xl comes with metal tip but most likely and like vjohn said its not a sharp needle.

From the pictures it looks like the inner cap on the XL's is slightly lower than the standard ones.

it looks like the clear oring then some other ring around the ceramic. no white cap with holes in it.

I'll say this, though. I haven't been using anything except my 510 CE2's for at least a week, and I don't miss my regular cartos at all. I probably would have been happy if they'd never brought out ceramics.

me too (kr808d and 510 ce2), I think all they needed was the famous loozer coil, and 72 hours to cure prior to capping them and blistering them

oh yeah, im done with everything else, they just needed to remove the glue and i would have been in heaven let alone a xl and ceramics.

I am reasonably satisfied with mine. Even the one with the narrow slits. I could live with this type from now on, but I want some that will hold more juice.
