Banjo this is test time, there is no time for breaks and sleep and stuff like thaty. lol

I'm not gonna rush this one. I'm also going to measure the length of the PTB on "your" mod so I almost hit bottom. That should help even more with the wicking, me thinks.

I wouldn't. I did it just like on the video.

Wicking does not start from the threaded end because the ecig is almost sideways at the mouth, unlike a nose inhaler, which is almost vertical.

(also, if the test is to see if the ecig can be laying flat without gurgles, then the carto is still horizontal)

My belief is that wicking helps when the wick is near the carto shell more than anything else, that's the reason I often refer to the bowtie as a misrouted wick.

Going back to review the video again...

Ok all 3 are loaded and ready to vape. At this point I don't know which is which.

bad when I did yours I tried to follow the video. I did 2 folds lengthwise, then trimmed, then folded twice and cut to length. When I put it in it felt little loose.. like it went in too easy. I'm going to go ahead and use it anyway because I don't think it'll move on its' own, but I'm concerned it might not be tight enough to prevent leaking. We'll see...

When I did mine I found a formula I like: take a quarter piece of PTB (take the long piece you showed and cut it in half, then cut that piece in half again). Then I folded it in half twice. The last step was to take that piece and fold it into thirds (if you fold it in half it's too thick). What you end up with is a small rectangular piece that fits snug but still goes in pretty easy. It felt "perfect".

Going for my initial reaction on the first fill (using a box mod at full 3.7v).

This may not be a scientific test like you said, but it's really good to see the 3 versions. It's a good test.

Agreed, I've been looking for someone to try a similar test. My pleas get buried in this fast moving thread. Look forward to your results 'banjo'.

BTW, I finally bought some PTB. None of my two need it yet but my old plastic cup could use it. I gave two PTB's to my friend that needs to try it in his XL's. The inner rings developed a tear from earlier removals.

OK I haven't opened them up yet to see which is which, but I've done 4 rounds on them.

Carto (A): Least harsh of the 3. Lots of flavor to start, but seems to drop off a bit as you hit it back-to-back. Very comfortable at 3.7v. Least amount of throat hit but good flavor. Decent vapor. While adequate it doesn't seem to wick as fast as the other 2.

Carto (B): A little harsh at 3.7v (I don't think I could take this one all day). Lots of flavor and tons of vapor (most vapor of the 3). This is the monster of the 3.

Carto (C): My personal favorite. Lots of flavor, lots of vapor and no problem wicking. It was a toss-up at first with (A), but this one holds up better taking back-to-back hits. Lots of everything without the harshness.

Anything else you want to know before I see who's who?

yes wait

I forgot to mention, but the tea flavor is harsh and you need to boil the bag before you use it,
if you think you can't take #B all day, I would give it a fair trial, I think the harshness subsides after a while...
even though technically we don't know which carto is which, what I mean is... give the harshest one a break in the beginning?

also make sure that after its wet and u use it for a while to check to make sure my ptb mod didnt fall in, if so then you need to add a fold.

the reason i stopped at 2 folds was for the viewers of the video, since if it told them 4 fold then it might move the cup when they add the second ptb on the other side, so 3 folds should do the trick

If it makes any difference wicking-wise, I can redo the test tomorrow using your method and just making the fit tighter.

geez... getting dizzy here (lol).
