no turbo, one tube on each side. and the ""brother ptb mod"" it is.lol

but if your leaving the wick in place then you might be able to cut the tube in half since your only trying to cover the slits.

Oh, so one complete tube on each side w/o wick and maybe in half w/ wick, gotcha. I changed the name to 'CE2 brother mod'..lol but you decide.

I've been watching this thread for awhile. I received my first 5 E2 rev 3's last Tuesday and was dissapointed with what I assumed were wicking problems. I'm a chain vaper when I'm home and sitting in front of the computer so good 'wickage' is important.

This morning I used some folded up ptb from my cart days, cut it to a length where once inserted it was flush with the cup, filled the cart and have been a happy camper ever since. I am using the standard size 510 versions, not the XL's.

I haven't encountered any real problems with getting the filler rings reinserted and seated on the 2 E2's I've been using so far. In light of that I've been just popping the ring out each time I need to refill and using a much larger syringe to do the job. I could of course fill directly from the bottle but since I have the syringe ready at hand I use that for more of a 'precision' fill. The tiny syringe fill method in combination with the tiny fill ports was a major gripe for me.

FWIW I'm using 65/35 pg/vg juice.

No new findings. I just wanted to confirm what the rest of you have been doing and thank you for the effort.

and you are leaving the original wick intact..correct?

It's like some of us have been trying to say. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. If what you have suits you, then don't try to make it suit someone else.

But then, there's always the chance that you can mod it beyond your wildest dreams. I'm trying to do that, but I ain't been successful yet. Maybe a rocket scientist would be better at it, but I am just a certified aircraft and powerplant mechanic.

Well heck, maybe you should be working on the first flying big batt mod. Something with a remote control that could be retrieved from several hundred feet (propeller of course). Could be the next big thing!

Personally I think bad is trying to invent either the "so much vapor you only have to take a drag every hour or so" or the "I orgasm uncontrollably every time I take a drag" mod. If he can get to #2 I predict he'll be VERY popular with a whole new class of vapers. :p

If you're using enough PTB you really don't need the filler ring. You can just use the middle ring flat side down and just pull it to drip fill from the bottle.

Thanks. I may try that. I only did the ptb thing a few hours ago and I'm just enjoying what I have right now!

quick question...can u use the ptb without tampering with the wick? and would it be better?

I have been taking a strip of PTB 2.5/8 inch by 6/8 inch and rolling it into a tube using my blunt syringe needle and then inserting it across the slot above the wick which has been working well for me.
You do get better wicking with Bad's method of removing the wick outside the cup and replacing with PTB, but my tube of PTB across the slots is working well right now since I dont need to remove the wick, testing continues.

All the best,
Wing.

i never thought id say this, but im wondering if this is simply to much vapor . lol. if i use this in a car im going to get arrested instantly. there will be plumes rolling out the window and ill be a cops dream for that moment in time.

the ptb mod brings the taste out of my juices in such a good way

Not trying to dispute what you say at all. But I'm getting such good vapor right now with the wick intact that I see no reason to mess with a good thing. I may change my mind though and try it just for grins. How do we know when when we have achieved too much vapor?:p

When I did mine I found a formula I like: take a quarter piece of PTB (take the long piece you showed and cut it in half, then cut that piece in half again). Then I folded it in half twice. The last step was to take that piece and fold it into thirds (if you fold it in half it's too thick). What you end up with is a small rectangular piece that fits snug but still goes in pretty easy. It felt "perfect".

Repeating this for anyone who needs it. If you're leaving the wicks in place and just want a simple PTB mod, this is for you.

I'm high as a kite already. I don't need a propeller to get me up there.

Nah.... Bad is just chasing his own tail.
