yes but its not that simple as zoid and others mentioned becuase while its round its looped onto itslef and that seperates itself so its not round in that way anymore once it gets wet, it has a tendency to flatten.A round slit hole might help but they should make a few molds with different slits, we dont want them to closed or to open.

Also when doing the ptb method, it makes the 2.5-2.6 ohm e2 work so much better but they cans till get hot at 3.7 volts even though they wick proper so lets not forget that those should still work better on lower volts like a riva/hello etc..

So I have a bunch of questions and well trying to read through 235 pages on a G1 ( my cell) is not really feasible, so please don't yell at me if all this has been answered before. So first off where should I order from, I have looked at Royalsmokers and I like and dislike the fact that you get 30 of them, but the are also not a "supported" vendor, plus their site is really confusing. Second, I am new to cartos, like so new that I have only used a 510 to 808 converter and an 808 carto. So my question is what should I know about them? And I lastly (for now) what is with the ptb method people are talking about, why use them?

Side note: This makes me think maybe some one should make a FAQ for these things.

you can buy form e-liquid.cn or cloudsofvapor and some others know of 2 other or 3 other us vendors that carry them.
while they are not a supported member we have ordered from them and recieved the orders so thats not an issue.
there are a few versions, there is the 510 regular sized e2 at 2.6 to 2.8 ohms but they have been showing up on the 2.6 side. those are good at lower volts like a riva.ego.hello battery.
there is the 808 regular sized e2 also at 2.6 ohms but they have the 808 in regualr size at 3.0 ohms which is great for 3.7 volts and 5volts, these hold about .6 ml of juice.

then there is the xl version which is almost double the length, they come in a wide range of ohms, form 2.4 to 2.6, 2.6 to 2.8 and 3.0 to 3.2.
the lower the ohm then you need to use lower volts like the batteries i mentioned or using a variable device such as the little sister,or tekkeon tek mod.
the higher ohmed xl are great for 3.7 volts and above. they hold 1.8ml of juice.

They all have a ceramic cup and a very robust coil, they have no filler and work with a wicking system. They dont seem prone to popping and can be cleaned over and over and dry burned as well. many are reporting they last for weeks.
there is no glue or anything funky inside and now they all come with no primer of any kind.
Some have experienced a leak that after many weaks of testing we have concluded its coming form the slits in the cup, this is being addressed by royal smokers and is being fixed.
For now we have used the ptb method to cover the slots, this has stopped the leaking of juice into the cup and has dramaticly increased the wicking process to produce even more copious amounts of vapor and a massive throat hit and much better nicotine delivery. Using the ptb method on the lower ohm'd e2's has also alleviated any wicking issue at 3.7 volts.

My videos of the how to ptb are below in my youtube link along with many other e2 related videos.

At the moment these are still being updated, we are at revision 3 version 2 which removed the primer, fixed any dented connectors that came off of production, and some other fixes.
there is a newer revision coming but that wont be ready for weeks .

It'll be interesting to see what they do with these going forward, but now that I know how to "fix" most of them I'm pretty happy. Actually I'm VERY happy. These give me a flavor and longevity I never thought I'd find in a disposable carto. Actually "disposable" is an inaccurate term for these, since I already have some here that have lasted longer than some atomizers I've used.

My next (and maybe last) experiment on these will be on the dreaded 7-hole M-series cartos I received in my first order. These have been the worst performer out of the box, and I'm interested to see if they can be saved with a little PTB love. Since the M-series have a smaller diameter body I'll have to "borrow" a silicone ring from one of my ceramic 401's to seal off the cup. If I can get one of these to work right, anything is possible. ;)

edit: My bad. The older M-series have their own silicone rings. It's been a while since I took one apart so I forgot.

The M series I got is the 4 holes ones and I must say these CE2 cartos rocks. I'm having high TH and vapor even on my 401 now.:vapor::vapor: They produce as much vapor as the 510's

On the 510 tho, they do run abit hot on stock 510 batts, not wicking enough on the Riva. On the Riva, I get burnt taste after a 2 sec draw but I'm happy with it on stock 510 batts.

Anyone killed a CE2 while dry burning? I killed one new one trying to get the primer off..lol

We don't have PTB on sale here, so what I tried was, put a piece of wick over the coil. The vapor it produce was WOWWW. It did the trick for stock 510 batts, I can take a longer draw and the vapor is not so hot. But still not enough wicking for the Riva.

Anyone tried the wick over coil yet?

Happy Vaping:vapor::vapor:

IT SEEMS TO ME that the wick is round and the hole is square. Round hole?

From what I gather, MiT isn't going to change the wick geometry any time soon. If they don't, I think the next best change would be to put a small radius on the outside bottom edge of the wick slot.

As it is right now, the wick has to bend 90 degrees to go from horizontal at the atomizer coil to vertical in the juice reservoir. When a wick made up of single strands is wet, it tends to kink going around this dead sharp corner. Just like a garden hose kinks when bent too sharply.

A small radius might help both is wicking and in preventing leaking. It would also be a dead simple modification for MiT to make and test.

I suppose I could. I usualy don't do design work for free but I guess a member was nice enough to send me some samples so I can make an exception.

well maybe that member is willing to pay for your services of the drawing with NEW samples of the R3 V2 that just now arrived and are sitting on his desk.

theres a limited amount but he can squeeze ya in
