Thanks! Yes it works :)
... but only the first 3-5 MTL draws. After that the Pico switches back to wattage control and ignores the "4 times in quick succession" until the coil cools down to room temperature :(
Arctic Fox firmware addresses this. Why joyetech (parent of the chipset in eleaf mods) hasn't addressed it yet astonishes me.

Arctic Fox is not "easy peasy" to set up, but once it is, the degree of customization is up there with much more expensive mods.

if the mod detects that the resistance of the coil is above the limit I believe it switches to watts mode. I believe most TC modes are set up to do this, probably a safety feature. Make sure your build is stable and starting resistance is below 1.5 ohm.

But... Why couldn't Eleaf have simply went with a 25mm width & the larger-sized batteries... Two steps forward, one back.
The 22mm version can have a new body without re engineering everything else. May be the 25mm Pico will get this body eventually. I always use a silicone sleeve so these decorative variations are irrelevant. An ultra light weight Pico would be interesting if such a thing is possible.

I agree, they already had the molds for the 22mm version so simply changing materials was easy - no no tooling to invest in. They are beauties for sure, translucent with specific colors to choose from. I've thought for some time that the wide variations in color and unpredictability of what you'd get slowed adoption the original resin version. Super light with no paint to wear off, they're a winner!

If these new ones ever get in the sub-$25 range as my resins did I won't be able to resist one or two!

Yeah, @gerrymi , I already have a ton of Picos on hand, so I really need to hold out for my favorites, instead of the usual "Mine, mine... MINE! :hubba:" knee-jerk, Pico-purchase reaction I usually get. :w00t:

It doesn't help that I already know that I positively ADORE the hand feel & performance of these 'lil cuties either.

Somebody, anybody ... Hold me back, until the shiney ones arrive!!!

I don't have a ton, but a decent supply.
Even more now that I just received my 3 Picos ordered from FastTech (on the BUNNY sale)
2 full black, and one black.
Picos are getting harder to find these days, and they are still my favs.
These 3 are going on the shelf for safe-keeping after testing them to assure they work.

PICO! :hubba:

In my experience, you're best off well below 1.5 ohm. I've tried a coil that was around 1.4 ohm and had nothing but problems. I think it would take too long to cool off and the mod would decide it was over 1.5 and kick me out of TC.

The coil is SS 316, 0.25ohm (locked) in a Kayfun v5

I think I remember hearing about someone having a similar problem with the Kayfun Prime. It just doesn't work reliably below 0.5 ohms, and all sorts of weird things happen if you try it. You might try a higher resistance coil and see if you have better luck that way.
