Hope this assists someone:

I made an adjustment to the 510 by adding a grommet from a Nautilus head. Then, another because the first adjustment barely took. Worked on the rDNA 40 but not on the SX M Class.

Earlier today I ordered a 510 to 510 adapter because I was convinced that the throw, or, pressure, of the SX was substantially more the dna. (Easy to check this for yourself.)

But on arriving home I decided to try the "mallet fix" instead. I banged the Lemo II 510 on a granite kitchen counter, not too hard but hard enough to have an effect.

Voila, instant fix. Now works on both devices.

Question for the professionals on the thread here.
I fired up my new Lemo 2 a few days ago with the preloaded coil(.5) as I did not have any coil rigging material on hand and it seemed to work ok. Ok being that it produced a flavorful, decent cloudy vape. And...it did not leak!
This is my first venture into the world of RTAs as I was not looking forward to fighting the leaking problems that some others seem to have...and so when I saw several reviews on the Lemo 2 I made the jump and so here I am. I am not a bumbling idiot and have a background in electronics so coil building is not a daunting task and after trying my first built yesterday I am disappointed in the performance.
The coil came out to 2ohms...higher than I like but it was just a first build and just wanted to see how it worked.
Using the cotton that came with the Lemo I wicked it as near to the wick that came with the unit.
Positioned the coli/wick right over the air hole and made sure no shorts/blocked air channels etc....

The disappointment starts here. I am using a HANA clone...30 watt and have tried settings from the lowest setting of 7 watts up to 20 watts and the flavor is just not there.
Half the cloud production.
Very hot vape...too hot for me to enjoy. Tried air from closed to full open and it seems to make little difference.
At any wattage over about 9 watts...I feel like my cheeks are going to blow up like a balloon but the cloud production is not there...just seems to be hot air.(Is this dry hitting?)
My HANA will lock out with a "Too Hot" message if I hit it more than 3 pretty heavy draws...never had this problem in the 7 months I've had it until now. I know the "Too Hot" is the board temp and not the coil.
Also....the vape is very harsh...almost like a throat hit from some not so good nic which I never have with any of our 4 Kanger Gini tanks.
Sooooo...not having ever had or knowingly had a "DRY HIT"....is this possibly the root of my problem. Improper wicking.

Sorry for the length of the post and I do hope I've made it clear enough as to not confuse!

Thanks in advance!

I thinking is a wicking issue. Are you sure the juice channels are not blocked or partially blocked with cotton? I usually wet wick with juice, and after lower chimney section is on, I will stick a small precision screwdriver down inside to move cotton away from juice holes.

Odd...I have four Lemo 2's and they work perfectly on the SX Mini M, Vapor Shark 40, works on every mod I own... it's definitely a great atty.....no dry hits.

Indeed. Only one Lemo II here. Works at 0.068, 0.077, 0.088, and, at the moment 0.058. Only resistance it does not work at is 0.0505 because it reports that as too low (strike-through the battery indicator).

And, like its younger cousin, the original Lemo, a problem when the 510 is not correctly set. This is a known, ECF REPORTED issue. I've had to "fix" three of the original Lemo's.

Rather than chasing his, or her, tail it is the first place to look for a solution to what sounds like a bad resistance reading or connection problem There is nothing magical about "0.5".

Thanks for all the responses to my post.
I will take a closer look at the possible 510 connector issue as well as a rebuilt closer to the original build.
I do love the side fill and no leak so far...I do not want to give up on this one as I just do not like having to fill from the base after removing a screw or plug...both of which I am surely to lose.

Good vaping weekend to all!!

Well, I RMA-ed my Lemo 2 back to FT (they are great with returns and have warehouse in Florida, btw) and now desperately trying to replicate Lemo 2 performance with Magma. The only thing I have a success with is leaking. LOL
Can't get the same taste and consistency in performance I've had with Lemo 2. I've tried different coils ranged from 26 to 30G and 0.5-2.0 ohm, dual/single,Rayon/medical and organic cotton and not even close.
Just my 2 cents.

Hey Andy
I've got the Lemo 5ml, Lemo Drop, and the Magma myself and with the same exact build and wicking, with the same juice, I get a slightly different flavor from the Lemo Drop as compared to the Lemo 5ml, but I go to the Magma with again the same as the Lemo's build/juice, and the flavor is way different, really good, just different. All builds read out to 1.5 ohm with 30g Twisted Kanthal around a 2mm Coil Master with a 6mm wide strip of ... Labo Cotton. I don't really know how one would replicate the taste from the Lemo to the Magma since the internal coil chamber dimensions/shape are different and have different flavor profiles from one another, just using the same builds ain't doin it for me as far as taste replication goes. You could go Higher Ohm/Lower Ohm, More Heat/Less Heat, Different gauge wire, there must be countless combinations you could try. I know I did, with no luck. I finally just got to a Happy place with each and called it a day and relaxed and enjoyed my vapes. Sides, 3 different flavors from the same juice saves me money, and keeps me sane, I think. Good luck on your quest partner.

First wanna get out of the way that this tank is dope sauce, coming from a KFL+ with a drilled out center pin and whatnot. Currently running twisted 28 gauge, 7 wraps around a 3/32 drillbit ohming out at 0.8 ohms.

Curious about any aftermarket modifications anyone might be doing. Currently looking for a beafier o-ring for the chimeney that won't get chewed up by the top cap threads.

Something I did with my Kayfuns, wrapped the top chimney threads with teflon tape to give it a bit more grip on the chimney so it doesn't come off with the top cap.

What about bigger deck screws? Better tank section o-rings that won't squish out and obscure the juice channels?

Just casting a line, maybe I'll get a bite.

From what I have heard, Kayfun screws like the ones from fatdaddy work...or since you have a Kayfun already, maybe you have some extra screws?

As for the shaft coming off with the topcap, I make sure the chamber and chimney are tightly secured first and then screw on the topcap so it is snug. That tends to do the trick for me. of course, it only really matters if you are trying to take it apart with juice still in it, which I have found is pretty much going to be a bloody mess no matter how you go about it.

That goes for the Lemo and Lemo 2.

I need to go through my screw collection and see what screws I can find with a larger head for the Lemo 2...and i thought the heads on the Lemo screws were bad.

There's some information that is missing from your post. You don't mention what wire gauge you are using. Also, is 2Ω the reading you were expecting?

To me, it sounds like you may have some kind of connection issue causing a high resistance reading that shouldn't be there. If you have a 1Ω build, but the mod is reading it at 2Ω, it will fire at a high voltage causing the hot/burnt vape.

Coil placement can also affect vape temp. Got some pics of your build?
