If one could digg something written on a forum, this would be prime material.

Banzhaf's site looks like it was made by a five year old on crack.. Is he really as good as he claims to be?

Banzhaf is brilliant and creative to boot. As a teacher in a prestigious school he gets the best and the brightest to aid him in his endeavors. He has many loyal followers and friends in high places. This guy has an office on K street and access to a very powerful lobby.

Further, Banzhaf actually had a mathmatical formula named after him called naturally...the Banzhaf power index. According to Wiki this index is: a power index defined by the probability of changing an outcome of a vote where voting rights are not necessarily equally divided among the voters or shareholders.

Thus he is an expert in voting outcomes.

Banzhaf power index - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

8-o His only deficit I can see is what "goeth before a fall" ...pride. Hit him there and damage may be done.

Sharon--it is very depressing. We are dealing with very powerful, well organized, and established entities. It really goes to show you how uneven the deck is stacked againt the e-cig even if testing shows it to be reasonable safe.

Logic and reason go out the window when a product does not square with the agenda of these "entities".

Sun

They didn't count on one loose card in the deck.

Me. :D

That reads like a list of political whores.

I researched the KKK and yes, this is correct. The parellels to the Ku Klux Clan to ASH are very striking indeed. Only thing missing is the public lynchings and the burning crosses.

Professor, are your students required to wear white robes with the pointy hats yet? Burn any crosses lately? I hope not, they may emit carcinogens. We do not know what chemicals are in burnt crosses. We must ban them at all costs.

Needless to say, I am not happy.

guinea pigs - I was a Marlboro guinea pig for 23 years - and they knew those would kill me.......why and who is worried about me now .....and how much $ is involved?

I haven't read this entire thread yet, but I just had to comment on the guinea pig statement... I have only been smoking e-cigs for a few days now. Started smoking at 13 (26 yrs ago) and was close to 2 packs a day, yesterday I smoked 6 today 3....

About a year ago I started to noticed that my cigarettes would go out in mid smoke, it was getting annoying. About 4 mo's ago a friend told me when I was complaining about having to re-light each cigarette a few times that marlboro has begun putting fire ......ent in the cigarettes being sold in Montana!!!! Apparantly this is only happening to us guinea pigs in Montana so they can test it out! I have to say I don't know how true this is, but I do know that my cigs started going out about the time he said this started, so it sounds right!!!!

It's the paper, and it was Federal. I hated it too, and some do it worse than others......

I hated it sooo much that I hunted for older brands that didn't sell very fast that didn't use that kind of paper.

I'm glad that I'm not smoking anymore tho!

I did a little reading on this ASH, and its appears ASH is a force to be reckoned with. It Board and Sponsor Members include, Legislators, Judges, and Doctors as shown here:

John Banzhaf is also a Professor of Public Interest Law at the George Washington University Law School where he is widely known for his public-interest activities relating to environmental protection, auto safety, sex discrimination, governmental corruption and many other problems. In addition to his legal expertise, he brings to ASH his background as a scientist and research engineer with a degree from M.I.T., two U.S. patents and several published technical papers.

Ash's Board of Trustees includes many people of great skill and determination who have demonstrated their concern about smoking, and their support for activities to reduce it.

These include Dr. Alfred Munzer of the Washington Adventist Hospital, and former President of the American Lung Association; Dr. Chuck Crawford, President of Kimball Physics; Mr. Martin Adam Jacobs of the New York Mercantile Exchange; and Mrs. Ethel R. Wells of Dynamic Strategy Research Foundation.

ASH's Board of Sponsors includes Hon. Anthony C. Beilenson, Former U.S. Congressman, CA; Mr. William E. Bloomfield, Pres., Web Service Co. Inc.; Hon. Joseph A. Califano Jr., Pres., Nationall Center on Addiction, and former Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health, Education, and Welfare; Dr. Kenneth H. Cooper, MD, MPH, Founder, Aerobics Fitness Center.; Rev. A.R. Taylor Denues, PhD, Founder CANCIRCO; Rev. Robert J. Drinan, S.J., Georgetown University Law Center; Dr. Frederick H. Epstein, Inst. Social & Preventative Med.; Dr. Emmanuel Farber, University of Toronto; Dr. Donald T. Frederickson, NYU Medical School; Robert A. Griese, Dolphin Productions; Paul P. Kaiser, Chairman, Tasty Baking Co., Emeritus; Prince Joli Q. Kansil, Xanadu Leisure, LTD; Charles W. Lantz, Pres., Citizens National Bank; Dr. Louis Lasagna, Tufts University., School of Medicine; Robert Levy, The Washington Post; Robert Ludwig, Pres., Non-Smokers' Association; Madeline Manning Mims, Olympic Gold and Silver Medalist; Charles Matthau, Hollywood Director; Dr. Joseph L. Melnick, Baylor College of Medicine; Hon. Howard Metzenbaum, Former U.S. Senator; Ms. Diane Disney Miller, Philanthropist; Miss Bess Myerson, Consumer Advocate; Margaret A. New, PhD., Fund Raising Consultant; Howard R. Sacks, Esq., Prof. of Law, University of Connecticut; Lyndon Sanders, Classic Motor Inn; Dr. Mona M. Shangold, Amer. Col. Sports Med.; Dr. William A. Shurcliff, Physicist; Dr. Dunbar W. Smith, Loma Linda University.; Dr. Katherine R. Sturgis, Med. College of Pennsylvania, Emeritus; Dr. Louis Sullivan, Morehouse School of Medicine; Dr. Robert Switzer, Dunn Loring, VA; Miss Abigail Van Buren, Syndicated Columnist; Austin G. Van Hove, Ther-N-Bak Travel; Mr. Dennis Weaver; Film and Television Personality; Mr. Roger Williams, Pianist and Television Artist; Alfreda Winnings, Fund-Raising Executive; and many others.

Sure looks like a money maker and has considerable weight.

For those that have not done so----their websight and direct attacks on the e-cig along with their plight to stop Paypal is worth a look

This is frakking unbelievable, I retort; knowing what I/we know about BIG anything in this country (including the F-D-frakking-A ) it is all about $$$$$$cha'ching! IT has been proven not by one but several test preformed on both analogue and e-cigs that tobacco cigs contain over 11k in nitrosamines and the e-cig contains lest than eight!! Also nitrosamines can be found in everyday vegetables! What the frak! Big Jim, I loved the vid-post, however we get to have such passion funneled into an defense w/o the overload of profanities (no offense) that is what is deserving of our deffense towards the big biz of ... oopps ASH. They get to hear our passion in their language, not rage, it will only prove their point. Is the ECA doing anything?have they even submitted a statement? now I once upon a time was a ID for inlife, and I sent an email asking if they are going to respond to this? No response yet. I don't know if any of you believe in the power of the mind-energy? I suggest we ALL put it out there that our freedom to use e-cigs stay just that; a FREEDOM! Visualize it as often as possible. may the force be with us ALL!
