I suggest we all get that nazi salute down, because it will be the new salute in these United States, a dying country.

Jig--the reality is that they know the right people and have plenty of resourses and funds---that combination has a way of getting things done to or detriment----a harsh reality indeed.
Sun

for example -

the child protection services - or department of children and families -

while some good is done by these agencies - there are hundreds if not thousands of stories of people being mistreated because some of these people resort to nazi tactics and why not ? they have been given enough power to do anything they want - that is until they get caught

if they get an anonymous call - they will try to force their way into your home - take your kids and give them to someone else - all without any due process of law - they have their own court system - many of the case workers have been proven liars and guilty of fabricating false evidence . like the government schools - the more kids they get - the more money they get - so the bad ones of the bunch make up lies - they try to say home schooling is bad etc .

more and more and more - the gov is using every excuse under the sun to give itself more power and control - while taking away our liberties - even breathing carbon dioxide is now considered something they want to tax and punish us about -

anyone who has a doubt about it - wake up - the fda is not your friend - unless you have monetary interests in the items they approve of such as toxic substances like tobacco or nutrasweet / aspartame

i bet you didn't know aspartame is made from e. coli bacteria did you -> - yeah they use its excrement - look it up - and while you are at it - check out what many doctors claim about the harm it does to brain cells - then check the history about how it was rammed into acceptance by the fda

almost forgot - had to edit and add this part - just like ecigs - if you look at the history of aspartame - you may find it interesting that for a while they tried to block a completely safe and natural alternative sweetener from being marketed in the usa - stevia

All I really see is arrogance. You do not need right people, resources or funds to make up fantastic new stories and feed them to the press. For all I know Banzhaf could be running this entire show from his summer camp.

Whats the deal about ...... and ...... in e-juice? I never even heard of that till Banzhaf brought it up.

Maybe that's the problem. Banzhaf is worried that the only way he will be able to get a hard on is to smoke an e-cig!

And if they are trolling this forum for information, lets give them a load of misinformation.

Post on the health forum how pregnant women who vape are popping out thalidomide babies and mental ......s who, not being able to fit into society, are doomed to grow up to be law professors!

Noted Ornithologist Dr Pepper quoted as saying " People who play with their PVs too much will go blind!"

"Vapers to burn in hell" says the Pope

The president claims to have vaped before but denies inhaling.

Ash has never allowed science or facts to get in their way and relies on rumors and fabrications anyhow. Just post the most ludicrous stuff and when they quote it, it makes them look more ridiculous and less credible than they do already.

I saw the add about someone offeriing ...... in the e-liquid. It sure doesn't help our cause when irresponsible fly by night manufacturers out to make a buck offer such products. It reflects poorly on our cause and puts e-cigarettes in a very tenuous position to defend our cause. Unforunately, in many ways, we have many within our industry to blame, not just the anti's and the FDA.

David

Dave,

Do you remember who was doing that? I would really like to see that add. Was that a real company with a website and everything. Maybe the FDA started their own website. Bwahahaha. Stranger things have happened.

Moorea--That law went into effect in all the States a while back--not just Montana---that is when I threw in the towel on them as that fire retartent paper tastes nasty.

I lit up one about 3 months ago and the flame at the end would not go out. I went from my office in the back of the house out the front door to show it to my husband, who was not there, then went to the back of the house and he was not there either. Then it went out. Funny thing was nothing burned on the cigarette except the very tip. I still had a full cigarette and had to re-light it. It was funny but at the same time it was not.

Honestly, does anyone that's a smoker or vaper, take ASH seriously? Seems the only people of the public that'd buy into the ASH crap, are people who have never smoked.

It's obvious that there's a definite uptick in the fervor that ASH is attacking e-cigs. It's like the FDA report was chum in the water...

There's nothing you or we can do about that. Would you rather have a forum where everyone is afraid to say anything? ASH is going to find their ammo wherever they can. If not here, then they'll find it somewhere else. If we stifle our words, then the terrorists win. The ...... thing is as pointless an argument as "We need to ban tobacco pipes and rolling papers because they can be used to smoke marijuana".

If they are that interested in what we have to say why don't they just join the forum, using the name ASH, then we can really have a good exchange of thoughts with them. These types are what my husband used to call "gutless wonders". I on the other hand am a little more proper and would never resort to name calling.

When government powers become this big, when an entity such as ASH has this much power it is time for each person to not just try and fight but to take care of their own. Sometimes the most good can be done quietly and behind the scenes (while still speaking out).

Make sure you have all you need. Each of us are grateful for this device and the ability it has given us to quit analogs. For me, I'll keep all of this in mind. Rather than say, "they can't do this", I'm thinking they probably can. I do not want to go back to analogs. I've enough to get me through for quite some time and I've even got boxes and boxes of lozenges to help me stay quit. We have a salvage store in our area that got boxes of these lozenges and sold them for $2.00 each.

So between the lozenges and my e-cig stash, I WILL stay off of analogs. I will also stay aware of what ASH is trying to do and help fight the fight.

I remember, not too long ago when we went through our first big bailout. I belong to financial and news forums and many, many, many of us stayed up almost all night long writing and calling. I used redial that night more than I ever have before. I sent email after email after email. The only thing we'd hear on the news from the congressmen and women was "our constituents are 300 to 1 against this bailout, but our constituents don't understand so we have to take care of them (in spite of themselves) and vote FOR the bailouts even though they are against it.

I've learned they do what they want and as much as I must still try to thwart these happenings through calls and emails, I also know I must take care of myself and prepare.

People, please take heed and prepare for yourselves so you don't have to go back to analogs.

i hate to think what that may have been burning - i smoked for about 35 years and the last decade or so - i smoked top and buglar non filter roll my owns - i have found rat poop and machine oil in there before -

not speculation either - i am not saying what i think it was - i am saying that it was obvious what it was both times

with ready rolls - you either get a flame or a fizzle - with the can or pouch tobacco - if you hand roll like i do - then you get to see everything before it goes into the paper - that is how i found it

I just checked out their website, and found that there is many claim against tobacco and e-cig. Most of them is printed capital and/or red to get more weight.
But! Nothing useful, just pure claims  If you want more info, access to detailed documents etc, you have to PAY - similar to porn sites. I just don't know what to think about organisation who claims they work for public good and nonprofit and then ask you to pay for information.
For example look for additives.html at ash site.

I am so happy to see some of you people have finally started waking up. I had several rants about this very topic a few months ago that fell on deaf eyes (just check my posts and dates, even before the FDA news release). I would post, there was silence, then everyone continued the conversation hoping the crazy guy would go away. In almost every case there wasn't even one response to what I said. I was starting to think this forum just didn't want to hear the truth; more interested in the latest battery voltage than what was potentially going to happen, so I just stopped posting. Just proves the brain doesn't operate on "light" as most people don't react until after the fact.

Anyway, just good to see some energy on the forum. And remember, our non-smoking friends and relatives are our FRIENDS. They are on our sides. Enlighten them about this topic, they do care and get just as p**sed as we do. Non-smokers are not the enemy, anti-smokers are, and since there are a lot more non-smokers than us, we need to get them listening to US, not THEM. Share with them the fact that once these antis finally get their way, they will not be happy relinquishing their unduly attained power, they will pick a new thing that may actually effect the non-smokers too.

words are very powerful things. It is amazing how fast they spread and how much they form public opinion.

It might seem like a very small thing, but it seems to me that a.s.h. Has crossed a line and become a hate group. From "promoting the rights of non smokers" which is where they started, they have clearly moved to simply hating smokers. Smokers are people.

People who have been marginalized, barred from some jobs, places of entertainment and even barred from renting houses. In fact to the very best of my knowledge they are the only group of people who can be banned from renting a house on the basis of a belief or personal habit. The rights of non smokers have not been met in the way that the rights of any other group has been met, rather their rights have been met by removing the rights of another group entirely. Would women have been given the right to vote if it meant that men could not? Yet the rights of non smokers have been advanced to such an insane degree that smokers have been marginalized, criminalized, and had their rights ridiculously curtailed. It has not stopped with non smokers having rights, it has progressed to smokers having none..and all of this because of fear mongering over second hand smoke... A claim that has been yelled from the rooftops but never actually proven. But the yelling has been enough for the vast majority of people, even smokers, to believe it is true.

Words are powerful

the most recent proof of ash's status as a simple hate group is that they now have come out against something because it "looks like" smoking. I think this has been glossed over, but if truth be told, i believe its their main horror.

it looks like smoking!

we really need to take a close look at any organization that can spew so much vitriol because something "looks like" something else.

Given that ash now clearly has become a group that disseminates hatred and prejudice against a group of people it might be surprising how the simple act of calling them a hate group..often and everywhere, can go "viral" and tilt public opinion...just a little, possibly just enough.

Like you, I have posted endlessly about the stupidity of distancing this group from smokers. The fight is the same and the enemy is the same whether you are lighting your Bic or charging your battery.

Only genetically modified E. Coli .... But very well put and good take. I never even heard of Stevia before. I just read the Japanese use it.

And by the way, Japanese people are known to have the best longevity and health in the world.

Does anyone believe a petition would assist our cause? It could carry some wieght could it not? I am not aware of what happened to the last petition that was signed nor where it went? does any one have any idea on what happened to it?
Another bs note in history. I do not recall the name of the cigarette brand, however back in the 70's there was a cigarette advertisement that read
"4 out of 5 doctors recommend __________ cigarettes" I am assuming the FDA may not have said anything about it because they regulated cigarettes (and were paid by tobacco co's) companies. And when big tobacco had the light of ALA shone upon it the uh doctors on payroll (and the FDA) changed their tune. Really it comes down to public outcry! the more WE AS A PEOPLE KNOW THE TRUTH, the louder we become! So what do we get to do? More is lost through inaction than making mistakes. How do we get to act in regards to this?

And that is exactly who they are. The vast majority of ASH never even lit as much as a single cigarette. That would be like me opening an anti crack website preaching to crackheads how to stop smoking it when I myself never used it.

And I find it hard to buy into anything that is displayed on a website that looks like it was designed in a Kindergarden class. Sloppy work.
