I have recently been moving away from thick wire and even mid range sub ohms for a range more in line with DNA board devices; LR to SR coils with lots of surface and higher voltage.
DNA 40:
Can you speak to the form factor of the devices that these will come out in, or will go into, that will go best with the DNA40?

I've had a "dna30 box Cloupor" box that is only now getting some use since it may go higher than 5 or 6 volts unlike the Raptor 120w box I have, but even with a 2.2 ohms coil at 6v, I find myself staying near the USB charging cable.

Do you find that one 18650 is sufficient for most needs? and will the 40 be the same?

I use a herd of devices and vape a lot of low nic juice.

Why get a new PV? Couldn't you just change the DNA30 with the new DNA40 board? Seems to me that that would be cheaper......unless you're like me and like new stuff. :)
Sometimes I wonder if I just like watching the mailman tryin' to put boxes in the mail box. It is very entertaining......;)

I was wondering about peeps with nickel sensitivity. Good to see this, I'm sure it also will depend on how sensitive a person is to it.

Thing is my XPV is still under warranty. So If anything I'll look at a new one. But I've kept my vape gear lean from the start. Just don't see the need for a lot of mods. I only have three.

I just posted this in another thread but thought I would share it here. This is my coil/wick after about a week or so of daily vaping on the new board. (~50ml?). The atty is on a squonker and I can tell you that I often forget to squonk. Typically, if I squonk dry, the wick is toast. Here the board automatically throttles down and vapor production diminishes. The temp stays below the char point, so the wick is unaffected. But what I thought was interesting is the minimal build up on the coil and wick. There is slight carmelization on the coil and bleeding into the wick, but no real gunk. On my other builds (non-temp limited) this would be a hot mess.

I see that's a 6 wrap. Is that 3/32 and what gage? I have a problem here. I use ribbon wire and this board screens ribbon wire. So far I haven't been able to find any nickel ribbon wire. But I'm still looking.

Its out there. The beta testers found some on ebay but the width was way too wide, but it is obviously out there.

Easy ladies, inhale, exhale, focus......

Mmmm ...have another comment....but feel it may be better to leave it to a more daring one.
