My primary concern is focused on the the stories and articles
which will pop-up AFTER the FDA reveals its "deeming regulations"

All those opposed to e-smoking are going to have a "Field Day"
with all the new ammunition the FDA hands them on a Silver Platter.
I dont want to sound like a broken record, but this is why I would love to see the media cover our side of the story first. We are told growing up that if you are being robbed or being taken advantage of.....to KICK AND SCREAM. If our community does this and the truth is revealed maybe those doing the Robbing and Bullying will back off! I am probably being naive but these are my thoughts. I am writting media outlets at some point today. We need some positive exposure. Even if we can get the petition to be mentioned on the TV news.

How many signatures have they got?

I think petitions are a nice thing, but not without some sort of threat or incentive to back it up. A list of names and notes just seems so impersonal and annoying unless there was something attached to it, like having something at stake if they didn't take action.

Sometimes when they push, you have to push back a little. Find a crack in the surface and exploit it. Sometimes it's not about science or fairness, so why do we have to "play fair" in a rigged game?

E-cigarette grass roots movement
VS
The FDA, BP, and the Alphabet groups

Q: Why do we have to "play fair" in a rigged game?
A: I wouldn't ... However, I've been told by others ... Truth will win out in the end

Whenever money is involved, unless certain decisions damage the reputation and their ability to generate that money in the future, money usually wins out over truth in most cases. It's a gamble.

What does the FDA have to lose by just simply passing regulations? How will the public view us and view them? Will we be vilified as crazy addicts, and they as the valiant heroes trying yo pry it out of our hands? Any kind of progress on how substances or behavior is viewed takes time, a long time.

Love your Country ... Hate your government

Our founding fathers would roll over in their graves
if they new Americans were living under the thumb of Federal Agencies

The Founding Fathers would adapt to the modern society we live in .. the continued use of the words "Founding Fathers" has absolutely no bearing on 2013 .. it is a completely different Country and World .. and it's not going back to 1776 no matter how hard we may wish it .. and who would want it to .. ??

You have absolutely nailed it.

And how we will be portrayed is going to depend on how many people we have on our side.
And that means making sure that everyone who knows us understands that vaping is something that is saving our lives.

The Founding Fathers would adapt to the modern society we live in...

They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither safety nor liberty.
-Benjamin Franklin

The policy of the American government is to leave their citizens free, neither restraining nor aiding them in their pursuits.
-Thomas Jefferson

Most bad government has grown out of too much government.
-Thomas Jefferson

Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.
-George Washington

What this has to do with my post I fail to see .. the point I'm making is the World changes .. continuously dwelling on what was and using long gone philosophies seems an effort in futility, IMO ..

Let's try this one ..

A fanatic is one who can't change his mind and won't change the subject.

On the subject of nicotine addiction and American Civil Liberties or the plain old idea of Freedom none of us are any longer too idealistic we are forced to be realistic.
Addiction is now such a broad term that anything someone does that someone else is bothered by is classified as addiction and along with it the ANTZ promote shame and use devious control tactics to keep people's behaviors and likes under their thumbs!

What this has to do with my post I fail to see...
If those "Founding Fathers" made those quotes then, I would think they would still make the same quotes today.
I certainly can't imagine why they wouldn't.

I know this much for certain though...
I live in this "changed world" that you refer to, and I would love to have made those quotes myself.
AND if I was dead right now, I would absolutely, positively be rolling over in my grave.

Some still believe in the Constitution and the value
of what our "Founding Fathers" wrote.

Its also understood some find them "offensive" and of no value today
and often ridicule those with traditional views and beliefs.

Some believe big government is the solution
Some do not.

The Election is Over ...
it doesn't mean everyone has to follow the leader.
