I got my vortex today and OMG these things are great. The only negative I see with these are the mouthpieces being loose, but I love the way the mouthpiece feels, make them a little snugger and Perfection. I just cut a hole in a cart condom and put that over the mouthpiece when I go somewhere, works great. As far as the plastic being tuff, I have carried my ego in my pocket with the vortex attached all day while I was riding my horse, cleaning stalls and rounding up a stray cow with no problems. I have to say there are 2 products I have purchased since getting into vaping that I was really impressed with and those are the ego and the vortex. Great job on these, I love them.

Thanks RT - no I'm actually using one of our adapters...if you have one that leaks and you feel up to it (its fairly easy), put your carto on a battery and wiggle the tube off (make sure your carto is empty of course).

Clean off the connector by rinsing, etc. and then dab or smear maybe a corn starch paste around the base where the tube slides back over (or any gluey substance you feel comfy with). Twist it in...let it dry for a bit and then try again. Also while you have that tube off, look down at the base of the connector underneath the metal coil base and make sure the white gasket down there is seated properly, if its loose, etc.

On the cato in my picture to the left I actually removed the alf strip and didn't even use glue to reset the tube, I just twisted it on...absolutely no leaks, so make sure you check that gasket area.

Hope this helps you...and yes PM me your address about the other thing...

Great! I am trying this as well because i had two out of my first three leak. No cracks however. One was leaking allot! Emptied in one hour! I bet this helps even without statch. How about just making sure it is secure?

These cartos are so simple it's amazing, I have taken 2 of mine completely apart just to school myself on exactly how they are put together after using them for about 8-10 fills. they do come apart very simply and go back together just as simple, I washed under hot water rinsed off the black burnt wick and cleaned them up good, I even scraped all the food grade bonding off all together, put them back together, took the hairdryer to it for a little while and then refilled both, "NO LEAKS" NONE !!! Vaping like a pair of locomotives all afternoon and night long now :2cool:.

I think some people want plug and play and wouldn't know how to change a light bulb if they had to and it's those that complain, then there are some that are just never happy, then there are the trolls and the people that get sent to forums, I know I can read right passed them. I also know that Chris and Danno are stand up fellas that hang and back what they sell. Anyone who has an issue with anything from Gotvapes just needs to be cool and contact either one of these guys and you will be taken care of with Kit gloves if you have a legitimate problem. The Vortex is one cool product and I'm sure we are going to see many more cutting edge products coming from Gotvapes in the future as well.!!! Danno, Chris, KEEP ON ROCKING THE HOUSE DOWN FELLAS :rickroll::rickroll:

I like this idea! The tip is the only thing I'm wary of as far as transport. The base and tube seem very sturdy when compared to my clearos. I really have come to like the kr808 fittings on cartos. The first vortex out of my pack had a very loose tip but the rest are not bad. Still not tight enough not to worry but snug. I think the only way to really help them stay in is to make them longer down into the tube. This would take up precious juice space though. Perhaps making the part that is exposed shorter would help too. Dunno I'm happy for the most part. Never could chain vape like this before!

Been playing around with these for a little while and I think I've come up with something.

I first tried completely disassemble these by takin the tube off at the atomizer. Not hard at all, with a little wiggling. Cleaned it out and that funny taste that I was talking about in my review was gone. I have a suspicion that the funny taste is coming from the adhesive. I don't have any real evidence for this besides circumstantial evidence. When I got rid of the adhesive, the taste went away. Of course, when I removed the adhesive I also got leaks where the main tube fits onto the atomizer. So next thing I did was grab an unspoiled vortex and just try pulling out the center tube. Pulling up the center tube takes a bit of work cause it's glued in there pretty good. But once you get it out, the ALF comes with it. After that I simply put the tube back and filled it. It vapes great now, but I'm not calling it a success just yet. I still want to see if I get any leaking. The adhesive at the bottom of the main tube is still intact so I don't think it will leak, but I'm going to let it sit over night and check back in the morning.

I have been dealing with a customer who had leaking issues and they reported back to me in PMs that they think it might have been been from inserting a drip tip. When they took off the drip tip they had no more leaking, so be aware of this when storing them to take the drip tip off and see if it helps those who may have had some leaking issues with it...inserting a drip tip in these may expand the tube just enough to cause a slow leak at the base...completely unverified but just an fyi...

That would be me :) So, here's the deal. I found that my cartos had a slow leak from the battery connector and would drain themselves completely overnight. Danno reached out to me and offered to swap them and wanted to see if he could find any defects in them.

I filled the cartos back up while at work to see if I could figure out how quickly the juice leaked before I sent them back (this is the sort of thing I do for fun). I noticed something odd... the cartos that emptied themselves out the night before were not leaking after 2 hours of sitting on my desk.

To cut to the chase, I ended up putting a drip tip on one of those and the slow leak returned. I then tested with and without drip tips, which included an aluminum "pawn" style tip, the chrome one that comes with the dripomizers and the rubber tip from the fluxos. Each and every time the carto with the tip leaked, the one without did not. Swap the carto and the stock caps around, whichever one with the drip tip was the leaky one, the other was not.

I don't know why the drip tip causes the leak, but maybe it explains why the stock cap is so loose.

This should be pretty easy to replicate if anyone wants to verify my findings.

Also, this only applies to slow leaks. If you have a carto that dumps the contents as soon as you fill it, that is probably a problem with the wick not fitting into that inner cup correctly.

Okay, #3 still going strong but I was so psyched after seeing GotVapes live last night I filled up #4 and popped it on my JamBox with the original mouthpiece. On a smaller battery there's NO issue with burning or bad hits...none, not even close to one. In fact, while fighting the alarm clock today I swiped it off my night stand and thought maybe it'd be damaged and leaky...nope. So, I'm comfortable ordering more of these even before the revised come in. I'll be using them on my cute as a button JamBox and love the excuse to shop for a 14500 mod with 901 native.

These will work on a 901 connection, right?

Yep! So adorable with a stainless Fluxomizer XL and now with the Vortex I can see what's going on in the tube. AND, I can fill it on the go without tools or syringes. I'm sorry to keep going on about that but it's a big deal.

Thanks, Chris. Woo hoo! An excuse to buy another mod!

LOL!! I like your creativity :)

I was concerned about running my LeCig Auto PT off of the laptop and figured I wasn't getting all the amperage I could out of it. I didn't have a 2A USB wall outlet but I did have a 12V cig lighter one. So off to the junk box and back with a 12V 1.5A router power supply and replacement cig lighter socket. A little bit of solder and heat shrink and now my vortex is putting out so much vapor the neighbors may call the fire department. :vapor:
