I like it better then the KF4, flavor is quite nice on it, again for me better then the KF4, Airflow is capable of shut down almost completely, maybe 99.5%+ . Only real negatives to me is a little fiddly to build, limited deck space. for the cost of the clone I'd say go for it. Some seem to have wicking issues, but those go with the authentic as well. Mine doesn't skip a beat, I run it pretty hot, and love it.

No idea on KF5, just rumors so far, hopefully they don't try to better the parts count on the 4.

Thinking about getting 2 of these Gems. How is it working compared to the KF4's? I vape for flavor only with 100% PG. I like the pull a little restricted too. Also wondering when the KF5 will be coming??? Hoping they clone it as fast as they did with the V4.
I vape NETs almost exclusively, most of them 70/30 PG/VG. My experience is limited to Rayon and Koh Gen Do 1.2-1.5 Ohms and 8-14 Watts. IMO, in any situation with NETs on the dry side like Apache, London and Patriot, I get a better result with KF4. A bit on the sweet side the Gem does better.

I'm hoping it stays a single coil atty with less parts and air control without tools. I'm trying the Erlkonigin and I hate the air control on it.

Now that I have the wicking down pat on the Gem it is a great little atty.

You might want to look into the Squape Rs as well, it has a very similar deck but a lot easier to build on and very easy to wick.

Mark me down as a hater of the Squapes, one of the most flavorless atties I've used. Recently bought the ceramic single coil deck, it is a major improvement, but still not enough to make it off the shelf for more then an occasional use.

I do agree with you on the Aiflow of the Erls, this one isn't so bad though, and is pretty easy to open the airflow up some if thats a concern. $11.40 EK V2 RTA Rebuildable Tank Atomizer (4.0ml) - glass + stainless steel / 21mm dia. at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping Bought it back when it was $9, was well worth that.

3F is definitely better then Gearbest, I've ordered a few times from them, pretty fast on shipping, only problem is if you need support for damaged or missing goods. Took me nearly 3 months to get replacements out of them, many unanswered communications, Excuse used 3 times they missed my message. Also be careful to know what your buying, they seem to like to sell some pretty low quality clones, from my experience anyway.

I won't buy anything else from them unless I'm sure of the manufacturer.

Who would you buy the Gems from?

That is different as I have found the SQRs quite flavorful, but then I run one juice in the GEM and another in the SQRs. I'll have to switch the juices next time and see how they fare.

I won't say much about the original decks, they are all just terrible to me, I'm sure profiles do make a significant difference in many atomizers, I'm not a big fruit vape guy, very few I enjoy, not huge on tobaccos either, again very few I enjoy. Mostly bakery, some light fruit, some RY4 variants, mostly sweeter stuff.

For my comparison to the Gem I used similar builds of SS 316L 26g, I did give the ceramic Squape deck a little advantage by upping coil ID an extra .5mm to 3mm. Juice is a Black walnut liqueur with light chocolate & pastry notes, In the Gem I can pick out every nuance, in the Squape it basically tastes like a tootsie roll.

Second Juice I tried is GLV Orange Blossom which is basically a blood orange muffin with a few different light creams. Tasted as I would expect in the Gem, in the Squape it is quite muted, barely a hint of the creams and muffin, and the blood orange is quite off.

Now this is an older Squape R, with an RS Tank, and the single coil ceramic deck, so while technically it is not an RS it is exactly the same deck with RS parts added.

Its a good vape, and may work better with brighter fruity type juice, but it still has the muted flavor which goes back to the first time I tried it. It is wicking fine, and I tried many different builds previous to this one, just never lived up to the Hype.

When I compare it to tanks like the Gem, Ubertoot, GSII, KF4, it is just not the same. I go through a fair bit of the GLV Orange Blossom, its pretty much my measure for a new atomizer, I know what it should taste like. Squape just doesn't do it justice.

For different flavor profiles, maybe bright fruits? It may work well, but I'm not much for berries or melons.

I know many brag, and say its so good, that just has not been my experience. I was really hoping the ceramic deck was going to change that, it did help tremendously, but it is still well below the majority of my atomizers. Squape is a neighbor to the FEV3 which is another one that is hugely hyped that I find very lacking. Now the Flash VS, is right up with the flavor crowd, go figure?

After changing to 50/50 from high pg juice the leaks dissappeared and i also managed to fix the short pin after i used a small oring from a keychain screwdriver i had laying at home, and now i can finally say it, this thing is a flavor beast and has become my main rta.
