Mornin' Tree Fam
Well after my nice 3hr nap yesterday, I STILL slept in an hour past my usual get-up time....Musta been tuckered out.
I should put one of those breathylyzer-type locks on my computer keyboard when it gets to be evening...not for alcohol use, but because...being a mornin person I start to go off the rails later in the day...Not mad..just emotional. It's been 33 years for me too since Dad left us so abruptly. His last thot may have been, "Damn, I should have made a WILL!! Damn..I shoulda gotten more Life Insurance! He was a 3 pack a day smoker and had a Cancer Rider ..Humor of the Universe..It's not what he died of

...So hope all you out there that have anything of value or share it with Sig Others have a WILL! Dad's stuff was stuck in probate for 6 months and Mom couldn't touch it till all us kids signed our portions BACK TO HER...Without a will, the estate is divided equally among eligible beneficiaries. So I can't stress that enough...get a Will...it woulda been cheaper than what Mom had to go thru.
Still working thru some things..so you all know where the ignore button is, if ya don't wanna hear it....just sayin..

#1 I appreciate all the advice. Problem is the step part of stepson...
I get that ..Hell hath no fury like a Momma Cat with her claws out and sharpened...Still..Good advice from Uncle...which you may find extends outward to include other members in the family..as these things are often "family affairs" and benefit from being solved "as a family" ..

...."we" got automotive, we got office skills, we got carpentry, we got EMT and firefighting...and others...but "we" ain't got no degrees in human behavior/modification

Many deep thoughts and conversations overnight. Don't ya just love this thread, anything and everything can be gotten into here. A true place to have fun or share our troubles and thoughts.
[HASHTAG]#2On[/HASHTAG] a better note Wifey is being released from the hospital so it looks like I'm going to be late for work.
YAY!

for you and Wifey.
I hope they have given her what she needs and that it sticks..and that it will bring her more comfort and relief. IN so doing, I know it will for you too

Too bad being in the hospital can't be more like a Day Spa Resort experience...The British know how to do "Sabbaticals" ...Like Miss Marple...go off to some Heavenly Relaxing Place and be waited on hand and foot, while you sit out in the lawn chair, sipping (tea...add your own here

) ...and taking in the gorgeous view...no stress...no worries..just relaxin and chillin in Sluglandia...But no..our current hospitals are not like that...it's stressful...might even be in a room with a roommate...more stressful depending on how much of a pain in the keester they are...wakin ya up all thru the night to make sure you're alive...and those mosquitos!!

...and beeping machines! After listening to my Mom's for 40 m...and after having notified the nurse twice...I shut the alarm off myself...(but I have had training and knew what I was doing...) ...the beeping was upsetting Mom. My rant on hospitals, and I've worked the other end of it as well, so I get the understaffing element. Yep..I make a bad patient

That is part of the problem: Memory Centers are for dementia and Alzheimer's-- And when we first arrived at the facility, my FRAD turned to me and said, "Everyone here is old!" (The man is 85...)

...I had to laugh...that's EXACTLY what my FRAD said!! "I don't wanna be here with these OLD people with Parkinson's"...he has Parkinson's ..and he's in his mid-70's.
I think when I'm able I NEED to spend some time volunteering over at our Memory "Bee Hive" Center...There were so many lonely folks I ran into when I last visited FRAD...some had no Family...some wanted me to share my Tacos with them

...some just hung around with us to listen in and have some contact with the outside world. I hope somebody still cares about me when I'm in a place like that...My body may be a wreck if I live to get that old, but there's still a light on upstairs. If not..well..then I hope I'm able to still get on ECF!!!

...and that my friends sneek in some mini airline bottles of Kalhua and Ameretto and stuff that's "bad" for me...like Cheeseburgers and Fries ..and Tacos!!...and BACON ..like my Mom says..."I'm 85...I think I've earned the right to eat whatever I want to!".
