Also Captain, in an effort to save yourself from mixing multiple bottles, you can always just keep the original mixed recipe, and mix other bottles of what you think you'd add into it. Then, just drip equally from each bottle. That way you can preserve the original flavor while trying other flavors in the same atty to see if they would blend together. And, you won't have to mix a new bottle if you don't like the outcome.

Thanks! I'm still pretty new to DIY so that is a nice tip. This next mix I'd like to remove the Pie Crust and change around the flavorings, but I do have my original mix that I added some Desert Ship to. Going to give that a try now and then mix up a new one.

EDIT - Wow that Desert Ship is a bit strong. I think with the next mix I'll use a small amount of it, some Vape Wizard, and then throw it in the microwave.

EDIT 2 - Damn this definitely adds something in there though. I think a turkish tobacco would definitely be a good route to try. This tastes a bit closer to what I remember.

EDIT 3 - Has anyone tried a batch without the sweetener? I'm thinking the banana nut bread might be sweet enough. Not sure though.

EDIT 4 - Alright, I'm actually really liking this mix I just made. It doesn't feel as "full" as it should but I think with a bit of steeping it could be really good.

Here's the mix I just tried for 5ml -

Graham Cracker - 10 drops
Banana Nut Bread - 7 drops
Desert Ship - 2 drops
Vape Wizard - 1 drop
Sweetener - 2 drops

Thats at 50/50 PG/VG. Definitely interesting. I think the Desert Ship fits in well so a turkish tobacco should be a good tobacco to try out here.

I microwaved this for ~8 seconds and went straight on my 357 with it. Again, I like it and I think some more steeping will really help it out. If anyone else gives it a try, let me know. Curious to see what you guys think. My only complaint right now is it could use a bit more banana and a tad less tobacco. Steeping will probably help that though.

EDIT 5 - Last edit I swear. I'm going to add another drop of Banana Nut Bread to it and see how that goes. If anybody makes this mix, try it with one drop of Desert Ship instead of two. Or maybe it just needs to steep some more.

Damn this is fun!

EDIT 6 - Okay, now this is the last edit. AVEjuice is back up and they'll start taking orders at 8 AM PST :)

Told ya that Turkish would be the one, now find the Berry, I swear there is a slight bit of some kind of berry or fruit in this somewhere but only a smidgen, remember this was originated back in early to mid 2009, and there didnt seem to be as many flavorings around back then as there are now, and flavourArt.it was the main supplier back then, so my guess is it is all made from there flavorings, just my guess, maybe look for an old Berry or fruit flavor from FA that's been around for a long time going back to 09',,,, blackcurrant flavor maybe ? that's an old FA flavor that's been around for a while, so is Bilberry. I find this note only comes through when using an LR coil too at lower voltages but its slightly just there but dont have my finger on just what the exact flavor is but could be that Blackcurrant or Bilberry possibly.

Ahh very interesting! Thanks for the hint :) I'm hopefully going to grab some BB/GJ tomorrow morning so I'll be able to do some taste tasting as well.

If I had any, I'd share some with you. I just ran out completely last night. I am 100% on my own blends as of today. The whole idea of me getting into DIYing was because of how hard it was to get AV juices recently. I cannot play the F5 on the page game in hopes of getting an order in. Nor can I wait weeks for flavorings to come in, etc.

I understand they are going through some stuff, and I get it. But, I won't sit here and stress about not being able to get a bottle of nic juice, and now I don't have to, ever. Now I just have to find my all day vape all over again :) Half fun, half headache.

Levitas, thank you buddy for that thought..if i only had 3ml's of the stuff i could join you guys in this little adventure if you will...

You can still get in on the adventure. Just because you may not know what the original tastes like, doesn't mean you cannot add valuable input. If it tastes good, then it tastes good, ya know?

Also, if you really wanted to, as previously mentioned, Ave is back online and will be taking orders tomorrow morning. I was half tempted on buying another bottle, but, I know that it isn't a sure thing in the future and I have to wean myself off.

theres other spots to buy their juice (re-sellers)... you dont just have to go to ave... i couldnt buy gj or bb today because i had to buy some flavors over at wizard labs for my ADV but i will try my best to get some in December. (unless someone cracks this code)..

Oh, I know :) It's hard to even buy from them, because Ave has been having issues, they haven't been selling in bulk to other retailers. Also, I bought Boba's in 100ml bottles, which isn't available anywhere cept home town (Ave). That, and, even when other peoples have the product, there is no guarantee they will have my nic strength.

At any rate, if I happen to cave and purchase some, I'll send ya some to try.

Reading the posts here and noticing… reddisch tint… 2009, so Flavourart,…. a bit tart and chocolate and/or cherry to taste when tasting the liquid itself…. what can it be? The following came in my mind, maybe it can help:

Over 2 years ago I have used Flavourart’s Meringue and strawberry flavour for my DIY eliquid and one of them turned from colourless in a reddisch tint in a few days/week after mixing. I am for 90 % sure it was the meringue and not the strawberry.

Meringue is basically made of egg-white, sugar/sugarsirup and a bit of tart added. Flavourarts meringue has a sweet popcorn-like taste. For me the flavor was more a mixer and less usefull as a standalone. Some use the flavor for sweetening of e-liquid in general, some use it with good results in mixes with lemon and/or other fruits. This meringue in a mix with cocoa-flavour makes a taste like chocolate truffle. I don’t know for sure, but can imagine that a bit chocolate truffle mixes very well with banana(nut), cracker/piecrust flavour and a bit berry or other fruit flavour…who knows.

Thought I would toss this out there.....its been a long time since I read/heard this but....

I believe that he was overseas and ordering juices from Dawn...and she advised him to start mixing his own and selling it over there since this would save him $$$ over all. And she worked with him in learning how to mix juices.

Perhaps, a peruse through Dawns site might help in identifiying flavorings used?
