Just got my Heron from Domo.

Included with the Heron was a piece of paper with handwritten #. Can anyone confirm this is the Serial #?

If so pretty happy w/ mine. :) 420

On a side note. My Heron came in 2 finishes. Drip tip, top cap, and bottom are in the shiny stainless finish whereas the tank came in the brushed finish. Is it supposed to be like this? Pic on page 1 of this thread seems to be all brushed.

Take the Gpin and it's delrin housing out to find your serial

I had a slightly burnt taste in both of my Heron's. On one the wick was 2 threads silica with a coil of 7 rounds, approx. 1.3 ohms, in the other was the wick 3 threads silica with a coil of 4 rounds, also this about. 1.3 ohms. Still burnt taste. Finally, I tried to remove the lid and build the wick with double loop with a coil with 4 rounds of approx. 1.3 ohms like I do on Spheroid. Bingo, perfect taste and intense flavor - but still with a slight gurgling!

Just receive my Heron & PAPS v3...unfortunately, my Heron came without post screws :(

I just changed out my Spheroids to v3...does anyone know if the screws from the v2 posts match the diameter and thread pitch...I'd like to get her set up!

This happened to someone else too. I believe they are the same.

hhhmmmm this is worrisome to me now, not having it yet... i hope this doesn't happen to me

When you have a new RBA you may expect many things to happen till you tame it, because it is a new rebuildable atomizer. I haven't found a RBA totally care free the last 3 years I vape and I have tried many.

not sure if you can see that well, but are you saying that my fluff is to close to the bell opening and that I should push it deeper in?

Check the rest factors I referred previously. I think this is OK.

I am really sorry for this poor quality control on behalf of our company. I will hang Miro tomorrow, this is wrong ...

Matt, if you're talking about the gurgling in the bell / air tube , I've found personally that it can be difficult to avoid. Maybe it's just the builds that I prefer though. Some builds are definitely much better than others when it comes to avoiding it.

Gurgling or condensation inside the bell: Over wicking or filler material too much close to the lips of the bell can usually cause that combined with a chain vaping style. Push the filler a bit downwards and blow through the air vents to get rid of the excessive liquid gathered in the bell or blow through the bottom part of the body to drive the condensation out via the drip tip. Check you filler and wick too. Moreover, when the battery is weak in relation to the resistance, the vaporisation is done partially and condensation is gathered into the bell.

The topper is not necessary in the silica builds, because you have to be very careful about the thickness of your wick, while a simple loop makes the job easy. It is an extra accessory for certain cotton builds, not all.

Ok...just hang him after he sends my screws...;)

Seriously, I bought this from vapourart, but I think if would be cheaper for you to have Domo send them to me...shall I ask Blake?

Exactly. No atty is perfect (the Spheroid is SUPER close though) and every one of them has quirks. Some of those quirks go away with knowledge and others you learn to live with. The small bit of very occasional gurgle from the juice / condensation is easily over looked for me. When it does happen it takes mere seconds to deal with.
