not sure if you can see that well, but are you saying that my fluff is to close to the bell opening and that I should push it deeper in?

I'm on my cell but the pic seems ok. I had too pull the top back off of mine b/c the wicks were a bit long/too much and it was over wicking (unless my assessment was way off). After I trimmed some wick and wiped down the deck it was perfect. Random dumb luck with a mis-diagnosis is also a possibility though...

Much like the Spheroid too much wick is something you want to avoid yes. Your wick needs to just barely clear the metal ring that the tank goes on. If your fluff is about even with the bell it will sit right on top of the outer edge of that metal ring.

It's kind of ugly and I only used it like this the one day at home but it's easy to see how far down it sits when the tank is installed.

You have a glass tube for your heron? I like it :)

DISCLAIMER;
The Heron is designed to be used with a filler material that holds your e-liquid in a tank above the wicks making it nearly 100% leak proof. It was not designed to be used as I am , though it works for me and does not leak it may not work for you.

Matt, if you're talking about the gurgling in the bell / air tube , I've found personally that it can be difficult to avoid. Maybe it's just the builds that I prefer though. Some builds are definitely much better than others when it comes to avoiding it.

So is there a certain build I can do where I can avoid this? I plan on using the 2 loops to wick my heron

In my experience just keep the owns a little higher. I found that builds that 'spatter' a lot will lead to it happening more than builds that don't. I had a .65 ohm twisted .4 ribbon build in the heron that put out great flavour but I found the tube got gurgly somewhat easily.

Ive been told that this is rare to happen, but who knows maybe it will happen to me. Although mine is coming pre wrapped with micro coil and cotton through the top cap :thumb:

Just got my Heron from Domo.

Included with the Heron was a piece of paper with handwritten #. Can anyone confirm this is the Serial #?

If so pretty happy w/ mine. :) 420

On a side note. My Heron came in 2 finishes. Drip tip, top cap, and bottom are in the shiny stainless finish whereas the tank came in the brushed finish. Is it supposed to be like this? Pic on page 1 of this thread seems to be all brushed.

Yeah, that's your serial number.
My finish is the same and I would figure it's intentional since it matches with the finish of both the v3 and X 1.5...inside brushed, outside polished.
