That must've been what happened to me as well. Did your R91 insulator melt? How much juice did you have in the tank last night?
Edit: nevermind, I see that it was filled recently. I wonder why this happens to the KFL type atties....

The insulator looks fine. The remaining juice in the tank was very dark from being cooked really hot in the tank and the battery was left with .45v in it.

Mine was at 2.3 volts. Melted my insulator. I know why, I had only like one fifth of a tank - the liquid stopped flowing and the mod stopped firing. Something must've changed the pressure of the tank - was it really hot or cold in the room overnight?
Nope. I just had a chance to deal with the mess fully. It all came out of the fill screw which annoys the hell out of me because I always tighten it right down. I think I read so where about putting some kind of tape inside it so it doesn't happen.

I am struggling with setup, since I received my Heron.. The first one was using Ribbon kanthal and included with Heron wick... Somehow it worked wonderful.
I tried then with cotton (liked wick better), then using 3 mm wick (the one I got from GG for Ithaka), setup up in a way, similar to latest ithaka (two wicks surrounded by .20 kanthal, just ordinary kanthal), 1 wick used through to top to feed juice. I get dry hits and decrease in taste.
Any suggestions to make it with wick? 3mm might not work at all?

cotton is your best bet i found with the heron, I've tried every other way besides SS mesh. Just twist the cotton through your coil, not too tight or not too loose, then make the cotton a little snugger coming through the top cap. If your fluff is nice and juiced up it should work fine. If you get dry hits your cotton is probably too tight coming through the top cap

After breaking down my X, LUX V2.5, V3, Heron and Spheroids today for a deep clean/polish I drilled out the bell on the Heron. I must say it is a marked improvement and very happy with it.
My favorite build thus far is a 6/7 wrap of 27g on Ekowool. I can't seems to get cotton to work yet and will try after I go through a couple of tanks.

Try wrapping that screw with a little bit of plumbers tape... That stuff is real good at preventing leaks on threaded material
Yeah I was thinking of doing that. I was sitting here bored on my day off and looking for a way to kill some time , maybe I'll go shopping.
And u only need so little of it for such a tiny screw that u can change it every time u fill the tank and a roll of it should last a long time
I'm guessing just one wrap around the screw then. I like that the roll was only 80 cents , cheapest vaping thing I've bought in a while lol.
Well u can do more than 1 wrap, id do 2 at least. Its stretchy tape so when u do make sure u stretch it around the threads, don't pull too hard or it'll break but when it stretches is when it bonds better to the threading. Worst case scenario is u put too much on and it won't screw in, but when u have the right amount on there will be a little resistance screwing it in, but thats just the tape threading onto the other threading
