Sorry to bother you perseas, but I'm coming in on a very long thread I am planning on getting a GP PAPS X and matching atty. The question I have is which one is better looking and operates more efficiently for the PAPS X? Should I get the Spheroid or the Heron? Do both of them have airy draws or does the Heron win out cause it's bigger. Is the Heron have more features than the Spheroid? Also which ring do I need for a SnP and sophia? Do I need a X-ring or X-AFC ring? Last question is does the GPin Silver Plated Springs and GP PAPS X Silver Plated Contacts come with the PAPS X or do I need to buy them separately? Thanks

Looks are subjective, but the GP Spheroid hasn't an airy draw. GP Heron is an evolved 22 mm Spheroid with a 201 connection and in May a 510 adapter will be available separately.

The AFC ring is just fine and the X comes with default silver plated contacts.

Still loving this Heron atop the v3. I'm guessing by noontime I'll need to add juice.
Question: with my first Heron use, I did what was recommended on most of the tutorials I saw, using a syringe to juice up the fluff. Was this mostly to "prime" new fluff, or do you folks refill the Heron this way? Asked another way, will a refill work as well just using the juice bottle or is the syringe method better?

Many people "prime" it with a syringe, I am more lazy, from the first build I use the bottle, every bottle

You do not need Perseas to do this - you proved to be able to do it yourself - in Photoshop

That's not a photoshopped image. It is a "real" GP-SnP SS on a GP-Paps SS v2.5. Pls read the description on the image itself, which was clicked a year back and posted on this very forum multitude of times.

And you Sir, seem to have no idea of what we are talking about. Our this discussion is also a year long.

Thanks for all the info kind sir, I think I may take a whack at the GP PAPS X/Heron Combo. Though I really like the Spheroid as well. I hate decisions but love the look of your high quality mods/atty's. I can't wait until vape day then I can finally own one of your masterpieces

Part of the learning curve with the Heron/Spheroid is figuring out how much liquid to fill the fluff with. Using the syringe makes it a bit easier because it lets you fill bottom-to-top so it's a bit easier to find the saturation point.

I primarily use a blunt tip on the bottle so I fill top-to-bottom and have to let the liquid settle slowly or a little bit at a time. a good way to find out if you're oversaturated is to turn the tank over before replacing the Heron tank. Any liquid that drips out of the fluff is too much.

That being said, however, the Heron (with cotton topper) is a little more forgiving than the Spheroid when you over fill because of the seal that it makes with the chamber. If you vape immediately after filling you can usually vape off any excess without any problems ...

I actually don't think that 22mm drippers look that bad on them , at least mods like the Hades that taper down a bit near the cap.

But that being said if you make a 26650 and matching atty I'm sure they'd sell well.

I put a KFL on a 26650 the other day. I thought it would look stupid. But, IMO, it did not. It just looked like a good looking atty, on a good looking mod.

Super T currently has the best looking 26650 mod, to me at least that's the best one I've seen.

I agree. I just wish the finish was closer to the ELA finish. It is close, but not quite there.
