Thanks! Please heed my warning about using the dremel when you do decide to use it. I would just go with drill.
Purchased the drip tip on eBay. It's a really sturdy drip tip with a small bore, which I like. Can't seem the find the original posting but here is an identical one Pyrex Drip Tip Stainless Steel Base Mega 510 Free Shipping | eBay. Pretty cheap for a custom Pyrex drip tip
I agree as posted in my polishing caps post in the tips thread. The drill allows for more control and allows the PnB to be chucked all the way to the male/female PnB threads. The consistency of your brush/polish is dependent on evenly applied pressure. I have also found patience as you spend an extra second or two moving slowly up and down the tube is priceless. It took me many times to finally get rid of the circular tube markings from my medium.
Make sure and go low to high or high to low with each grain of medium not thinking you can skip for example 1000 or 1200 grit and moving straight to 2000 grit as it does make a difference.
My choice of RPMs is 1/2 speed say 500-700. I also always use water with all mediums and wet/dry sandpaper is a must for polishing imo.
One last thing, buy a cheap tube and use it to practice finishes. I acquired a pos Ghost Modder tube in a trade in which the guy stiffed me a tube in a set of PAPS. As much as I loathe GM I use it to practice when I come up with a new finish. Otherwise, it would be a throw away tube for me.
