If anyone needs good pricing on batteries especially vtc4's, I know you can pick them up for $7.00 a piece from triangle vapes. I have used them before and are a fair company to deal with. On that note, I just ordered the new vtc5 batteries in a group buy. I am pumped to have all that amp limit plus longer mah.

I am awaiting some vtc5s as well. I wonder if we are in the same buy? I have some unused vtc4s that will PIF'd as soon as the 5's get here.

OK I need help! Actually multiple issues, but gonna start with what I hope is the easiest first.

So, I got the new top cap w/ gpin when it first became available. Couldn't figure out how to take it apart, but didn't really feel the need to separate all the parts and screw something up. When I first got it, I unscrewed it to look at it and the whole pin came out as 1 piece. And that's the way it's been since I got it.

Today I accidentally managed to take it apart. Didn't mean to, but I figured no big deal I'll just put it back together piece of cake. Hah, joke's on me!

First, it took me forEVER to get the pin screwed back together - I guess because of the spring tension. But I finally got it. Now, when I try to screw it back into the top cap/delrin insulator, I can't seem to get it screwed in! It keeps trying to go in crooked and I don't want to force it obviously. I just can't seem to line the threads up so it goes in straight. Never had this problem before.

Any suggestions? Did I maybe put the pin back together wrong? It looks right...

Which leads to problem #2 and why I accidentally took the pin apart.

My roommate is having issues w/ his gear - apparently burned out the spring in the gpin last night. He put in the spare spring and it's working, but no idea why or how it burned out. And, now he can't get the spheroid to fire on it. So, me being the good friend that I am, I tried the spheroid on my PAPS X and also couldn't get it to fire. BUT, When I put MY spheroid back on and fired it, the whole mod heated to a million degrees within a second or two! I immediately put it down because my hand and mod were about to catch fire. I figured I prolly burned out my gpin spring too. I quickly pulled the battery out and let everything cool. When I went to unscrew the gpin, instead of coming out of the delrin whole like usual, the pin itself unscrewed. I had to remove the delrin from the top cap and use pliers (w/ a towel) to remove the rest of the pin from the insulator.

I dunno. I'm lost. Even if I get the thing back together, I'm kinda afraid to use it after this episode.

And, I still have to try and figure out what's going on w/ the roomie's spheroid and PAPS X. But me first :D

I think so, you were on the cv gb right? I thought I saw you on there. I don't have any 4s right now just some 3s. I am excited for the new ones. I just wish they made them in 490/500.

This needs to be explained further, what does it mean one piece ? GPin consists of 6 pieces.

Today I accidentally managed to take it apart. Didn't mean to, but I figured no big deal I'll just put it back together piece of cake. Hah, joke's on me!

If you took it apart, it wasn't tightly screwed in the first place. it happens, but it isn't an issue.

Clean the threads and if it doesn't screw correctly, you have forced it in a previous attempt and you miss threaded it. Check if the positive pins are seated properly, if not, you won't be able to close it.

Mechanical mods and atomizers are devices for people who understand how the current works and fear is the worst adviser. Calm down and take apart everything, look whether you have screw way more than it should the plastic insulator of the GPin, forcing the positive post to touch the top cap. Check also if you have tightened the cap of the GPin.

And, I still have to try and figure out what's going on w/ the roomie's spheroid and PAPS X. But me first :D

You have to take apart the Spheroid and check if there is anything missing like the 510 insulator, the internal or the external one. Check the condition of the positive post's insulators and check also if the positive post touches the bell, when you close it. Any wire from the positive post touching the deck can create a short circuit. Use a multimeter to find if there is a short. Spheroid is a completely mechanical device and if something is wrong, it will be visible.

Yes, we should start a therapy group. i can eat it for all 3 meals a day, that is when i actually eat 3 meals in one day.
I eat 2 bowls of grape nuts, 1 bowl of mini wheats, and usually get a bowl of corn flakes before bed. This in between my veggies and yogurt. I need help.

Yes. My wife thinks I'm weird. She's right.

HAHAHAHA. Whew! pressure is off me for the random fanboy comment a few weeks back. There is not one of us here that does not resemble that remark Brother :).
