If anyone needs good pricing on batteries especially vtc4's, I know you can pick them up for $7.00 a piece from triangle vapes. I have used them before and are a fair company to deal with. On that note, I just ordered the new vtc5 batteries in a group buy. I am pumped to have all that amp limit plus longer mah.

I am awaiting some vtc5s as well. I wonder if we are in the same buy? I have some unused vtc4s that will PIF'd as soon as the 5's get here.

OK I need help! Actually multiple issues, but gonna start with what I hope is the easiest first.
So, I got the new top cap w/ gpin when it first became available. Couldn't figure out how to take it apart, but didn't really feel the need to separate all the parts and screw something up. When I first got it, I unscrewed it to look at it and the whole pin came out as 1 piece. And that's the way it's been since I got it.
Today I accidentally managed to take it apart. Didn't mean to, but I figured no big deal I'll just put it back together piece of cake. Hah, joke's on me!
First, it took me forEVER to get the pin screwed back together - I guess because of the spring tension. But I finally got it. Now, when I try to screw it back into the top cap/delrin insulator, I can't seem to get it screwed in! It keeps trying to go in crooked and I don't want to force it obviously. I just can't seem to line the threads up so it goes in straight. Never had this problem before.
Any suggestions? Did I maybe put the pin back together wrong? It looks right...
Which leads to problem #2 and why I accidentally took the pin apart.
My roommate is having issues w/ his gear - apparently burned out the spring in the gpin last night. He put in the spare spring and it's working, but no idea why or how it burned out. And, now he can't get the spheroid to fire on it. So, me being the good friend that I am, I tried the spheroid on my PAPS X and also couldn't get it to fire. BUT, When I put MY spheroid back on and fired it, the whole mod heated to a million degrees within a second or two! I immediately put it down because my hand and mod were about to catch fire. I figured I prolly burned out my gpin spring too. I quickly pulled the battery out and let everything cool. When I went to unscrew the gpin, instead of coming out of the delrin whole like usual, the pin itself unscrewed. I had to remove the delrin from the top cap and use pliers (w/ a towel) to remove the rest of the pin from the insulator.
I dunno. I'm lost. Even if I get the thing back together, I'm kinda afraid to use it after this episode.
And, I still have to try and figure out what's going on w/ the roomie's spheroid and PAPS X. But me first![]()
