The good thing about the GP fluff is that it is easy to rinse out and pat dry on a paper towel before reusing it. I still happen to have enough Sera filter material to last someone for their lifetime and maybe another half of another life lol. If anyone wants some let me know and I'll send it out. I think I will only use it for emergencies if I run out of GP fluff. I will warn you though that it is crap compared to how easy it is to work with the GP fluff.

Great answer Path. I feel this way about monthly drawings/giveaways in general. It creates a cheap feeling to me. They also can quickly generate animosity and a favoritism feel between forums as well.
I think it is fantastic tool for the builder in cases such as the Heron was given away. But, there are many forums that we have a GP section with many of the same members and all it takes is one of them to say "Hey King P can we also have a giveaway?" Before you know it FunkMaster P feels obligated to manage them. And I know for a fact, there is no time.
GP and Perseas does an incredible amount more than any builder, high end and non high end, for all of us through his service and passion and to expect any more just doesn't feel right.

I see! In that case, we may have unexpected mini stealth games on this thread for the family here. We have some ideas in mind, we're discussing it with George right now.

Maybe some sort of number/ posting type of entry. Pick a day, maybe the last day of the month and have people post with thier name. Then the day after chose the number? its
If you do a photo contest, it might not be fair as some dont have as good a cameras as others. Its a hard thing to do. I hope others chime in with some good suggestions. Thank you for the contest. I love your products and hope to someday get one of your amazing PAPs X

SOmething like this

1. anavidfan
2. Perseas
3. Cucco
4. Idaholandho
5. etc.....

The thread might get real long so make a separate thread , with only entries allowed , no comments ?

I was thinking more on this, some one mentioned serial numbers, but you see how that went.

You wanted to " Thank your customers, so how about those customers post one of their invoices, be it from DOMO or Vapor Art. That way it doesnt matter how much a person spends. It just assures that GP customers "get thanked" not just random people on the forum that want something free. I think thats fair and fun. Your whole reason was to thank those who spend and come back and have a passion for your products.

Just a thought :)

My suggestion was not create favoritism to anyone with a bigger budget. I just felt a giveaway should be like a "thanks" to those who have supported perseas and crew. But then again it was just a suggestion, simply ignoring it would have sufficed as a down vote :/

I also agree that a giveaway in unnecessary, as you already give us too much. I do feel like giveaways are for businesses who don't know how to keep their customers happy (no offense to one's that do), which everyone who posts here weekly and the many who lurk in the shadows(I used to be one), I can vouch for, are Very happy customers.

So in conclusion (lol how you are NOT supposed to close an essay, which this is I apologize), the best suggestions for the giveaway is the one not to have a giveaway.

Random surprises won't hurt, but neither are they needed (here). I own one older used device, have a brand new Spheroid (not used yet) A SnP tank that I love, and a few drip tips. In the scheme of this thread, I hardly qualify as a "GP fan". But I love the products that I own, and hope to have more of them some day. Based on my reading and knowledge, the fact that you are so accessible (to me) is reward enough.

All of the above!! By keeping your pricing low, relative to most, you are creating a "give away" every vapourday. I believe your desire to keep the cost and availability of your products within reach of the masses is more than enough. Compound that with the outstanding customer service and the community that you have created...

It is unbelievable how many times I have tried to flick that gnat off my screen:blink:

For the contest / giveaway

Just make a list of all the names who have posted during the month in this thread, and run it on a Random Generator. No favouritism, no hanky-panky, peeps who are on this thread get recognized for being here. Simple.

Just a thought

Until we have post trolls that post one word and move on. I scrutinize the idea that ANY random generator can discriminate the members that hack up the thread with senseless posts. < this is my job :)

Just add a "rule". Once won ~ the name will not be included in the next contest/giveaway even if s/he had a post that month. Even trolls deserve a 'gift' once in a while :D

Ok so I've been looking at the Heron & Spheroid and I dunno. They look a little too much like cartomizers with the fluff and I absolutely hate cartos. I saw Scott's review where he mentions that unlike cartos the fluff doesn't get heated and am wondering how much of a difference that makes.
I'm pretty happy with my KFL's and updated Ithaka but still have problems getting the wicking down and get a lot of dry hits oftentimes.
So does the Heron or Spheroid taste or draw anything like a carto?

The Spheroid / Heron is nothing like a carto in format, design, functioning and vape quality. Unless having a filler material somewhere constitutes it a carto

I hear this phrase off-n-on and wonder at the foolishness of that equation. Because then a trouser is a shirt too, b'coz both have pockets
confused-5.gif
In factuality the Spheroid (and similar attys) are more akin to Dripping Atomizers.

Not even having a Spheroid ( but having been interested for a long time) that is the best analogy Ive seen so far. Logically the foam is holding the juice above and gravity is "dripping" juice onto your wick. I can see the only thing is finding that perfect balance of how much filler is needed in comparison to how viscous your juice is. Full VG less material, thin / high ratio PG more material. I had a Steam Machine which is very similar to the Spheroid in design and once I found that ratio it was great. I sold it because its shape was just too long, wand like and the finish on the atty , though beautiful , mirror shined, it got tarnished and no matter how much I wiped it, or even tried Cape Cod, it had juice and finger marks that never went away.

I hope someday to get a brushed Spheroid for my little 350 device. Im using Penelopes on it, like them but not " in love" like I am with my Odys.

The filler material is really great stuff. It was designed for aquariums and believe me if you have ever kept fish, that material is "safe" and rugged. Fish are extremely delicate, water is their life and if something is minusculy(?) toxic they will die.
I can see how you would not need to replace it, just rinse once in a while or have different pieces for different flavours.

Very good design, I can see how for those hard core drippers can have a happy alternative that can be pocket friendly and where one does not need to be a slave to dripping and dripping etc.
