I'm not sure if anyone answered this yet but what's the best way to polish and clean alumnibronze

Many answered Bro! Autosol. The hands down best in our community and collector communities out there. We have talked about the subject much.
Some use Cape Cod wipes, nice! I wouldn't touch Never Dull.
Never dull is how the "cheaters" polish brass in the military :). I prefer elbow grease.

I used mothers metal polish the other night and it actually worked quite well...but Idaho said that Autosol is the best so I'll have to pick some up!

Well hello there, wildvet! It's great to see another East Coast transplant here in SD! Yeah it's really great out here, but like you, I miss the old homestead at times. I go back 3-4 times a year, though, as my parents are getting older now, and I like to spend as much time with them as I can.

Any favorite shops of yours here in town? I'm in the UCSD area, found a fantastic vape shop on Miramar Rd. Might be off topic for the GP thread, so feel free to PM. :)

I still have a house in MA, as well as a handful of good friends, so I too go back occasionally. I here ya about the 'rents, good on you for making the point to see them as much as you can!

I live in UC so we are practically neighbors! You talking about the Roo? Or one of the newer shops? Vape shops here are popping up so fast I gave up on keeping up. My fave was Zen, but sadly they closed & are focusing on their online juice sales I guess. I also like The Switch - nice bunch & they have a healthy respect for good quality authentic mods.

I also like the Vape Shoppe in OB, another nice bunch in there but not a good place for inexperienced folks, I feel they are a bit cavalier with their builds & don't bother talking safety enough.

It's Friday!!!!
So much to take care of for my trip next week so today should fly by :D

@Todai: I'll be in San Diego sometime in July.
I fell in love with SD when I was there one year in the middle of December. 06:30 in the morning, outside in shorts and sandles having a cigarette thinking god I love this weather. Beautiful state to visit but sadly way too liberal for me to ever want to live there. >.<

I get your thoughts about living in the Republik of Kalifornia but San Diego is fairly conservative because of the large military presence, both active & retired. The weather def can't be beat!

In the past it was only available in gallon paint cans and some of us would split it up. I see it comes in tubes now on Amazon.
It isn't cheap. Perseas has also mentioned he uses it!

LOVE all the puppy & kitty pics! And Cucco, good for you listening to your heart (& cat) and going forward with the amputation. Three years of quality life after a bone cancer diagnosis is remarkable! But our pets are remarkable & often refuse to 'read the book' or give up on life. That's what makes them so special!

My Maybe-girl. Had to let her go last year due to renal failure. She wouldn't give up but her damned kidneys had :(

Do any of you San Diego folks get up to Palm Springs? If so, I'd love to get together for a vape.

We head down to S.D. beginning around now and through the summer to beat the heat, ofyen staying in Encinitas and taking the train down to SD for day trips.

Went once. In August. Mistake. [emoji16]

My friend just bought a place in Palm Desert, she's been trying to get me to go there with her one weekend. I really need to take her up on it.

I wonder if there comes a point where the lux tube stops patina-ing. I've never polished mine and I was thinking recently if I polish it I could start over and maybe it would patina differently.

The ones from the original release keep on keepin on patinanin lol . You can kind of see them here. We use all of them daily now. So they were used for a year and now we shuffled the new in :)

I spent a week in Encinitas at the beginning of April. It's a beautiful place! I went to a vape shop, the closest one to where we were staying, but I probably chose the least impressive one (since I hear there are some really good ones and this one only sold clones, although the staff was nice).

I used to spend up to a month a year in Palm Springs, for about seven years in a row, with no plans to do anything other than just relax. After a few weeks of doing nothing but relaxing and being laid back I felt like a native Californian. Coming home to the snow and going back to work was always rough.

I collect ( and use) Vintage Double edge razors, with a preference for "open comb" style razors. I've used a lot of various polishes on my vintage razors, and the best polish I can recommend is MAAS metal polish. Flawless mirror finish, and not very abrasive, so it doesn't destroy the metal. Many of my old Gillette Single rings are silver plated, and its mild not to wear off the plating.
