While I agree with Perseas on lifestyle changes being the #1 cause for relief, in my case, this did not help for heartburn. I produce too much stomach acid. The first thing the doctors did was put me on a strict diet for the better part of a year with no change. They then decided to (finally) scope me, and found what the cause was. I don't remember what they are called, but the 'ducts' that produce stomach acid to break down your foods 'overshoot' the acid in my stomach, which caused ulcers and bad acid reflux. I was put on Nexium and it fixed the problem, but is something that I will have to continue to take for the rest of my life unless my body chemistry changes and regulates out.
As far as the heart issues and migraines go...I'm thinking they're related to one another. I started getting the migraines around the same time my heart started to act weird. I don't know that they are related, but I have a 'hunch'. I work in a relatively stress-free job (because I like the work) and I work with people that I genuinely like. My home life is fantastic as well. So I live a pretty stress-free lifestyle that I am very grateful for and very fortunate to have.
Hopefully, like you, it is something that can be regulated and surgery or something is not involved. I've been 'under the knife' enough for a lifetime. I'd really like to think its a 'false alarm'. That's why it took me so long to finally get it looked at (which was stupid..I know.). I figured it would just 'go away'

. But even as I type this, I can tell something isn't right. It just feels like its 'chugging' in my chest, so I know there is most likely something wrong that will need fixed one way or another.
Thank you all for the well wishes! I'll keep you all posted! You're a wonderful family!
