Hey family... off-topic, I've recently been thinking about getting a dripper... mostly so I can take it out to test e-liquids but if it turns out that I like dripping enough I'm not opposed to keeping it in the rotation. Any suggestions on where to start looking? I'm not new to drippers, but the ones I've had were very cheap (IGO and A7).

I'm basically looking for some price economy since I don't think it will be my primary. Can I get away with something good within the $60-$80 range? Looking for SS in 22mm (something to match my paps v3s) but not ruling out those in 23mm since I may get an X one of these days. Would like adjustable airflow. I'm undecided whether I'll run single or dual coils but want one that can accomodate both with relative ease (not planning on making more than two coils at a time). I do not want a ceramic cup setup.

Preferably no unicorns. =)

TIA!
If you want a 22 mm get the Tobh atomizer which runs about 80 dollars if you want a 23 mm get the stillare via which allows for both dual and single coil setup. But is a bit more pricey and runs for around $110-120 but we'll worth it imo.

Isn't the Stillaire 22mm? Or did they come out with another version?

Keep in mind that It's a pita to taste various flavors in a dripper. You still have to rewick, rinse, burn coil, etc.. You may just find you like to drip so find a quality RDA so that if you find it not to be a good gig personally you can sell it swiftly.
I have found that micro coiling a Spheroid and using silica, ekowool(in the past...almost :)) now with cotton, I can test a new flavor quickly and true. It is so simple to not add fluff for tasting purposes and soak a wick with fat juice and taste. This is a much easier way to taste and gives true flavor results with an atomizer that when and if I like the flavor, I add fluff, drench it and go.
Many good RDA's have been mentioned by those who know dripping. I am not much of a fan but, def consider the Origen v2. It's quality, the juice well is big and a snap to set up.
The last year I have issues with calling RDA's, RDA's. With big tanks there is not much of a difference between them and many RBA's.

I hate clothes too, especially when it's 120 in the shade. I sleep naked, but I don't sleep very often. Don't bother to get fully dressed unless I have to go out on errands or for walks though. And shoes, I never wear them year round unless I go out. I'm in the comfortable stage in my life, you know, the one where you don't care what others think of your habits. ;)
Spydro my friend, you know you have come full circle when you can rip a loud huge fart in line at a bank, grocery store and in your church and act like nothing happened. :)

So do all the GVC vets here really vape it on a 1.8 ohm coil?

What is the preferred Heron build? Details please..gauge, diameter, wraps, ohms and wicking material.

I've tried it in my usual 0.6 ohm coil and it was good. I tried it today at 1.2 ohms and it was much better. Should I go higher?

I like GVC best around 1.2 and this is with my Sophia so it may also differ by Atty.

I like running my Heron at around .7 or. 8ohm micro coil with 26g kanthal around a 2mm screw driver about 7 or so wraps and cotton wick.

I think that resistances depend on many factors. One being air circulation, size of the chamber etc. When I had the Penelope , because of the shape I found I needed to run higher resistances, such as 1.2 to 1.3. On the Ody being a larger tank and wider air flow chamber I liked it anywhere from .98 to 1.0. On my little Fatty V2 dripper it is very small and low profile I can run it at 1.3 to 1.5 and get large clouds and great taste, any lower and it gets too hot.

Im assuming the same is probably the same when setting up the Heron Vs Spheroid. Im guessing the last factor in what to run the atty is the flavour and VG/PG ratio. I have never had GVC but have use similar heavy VG sweet liquids. Seems they can take a bit more heat but the flavour probably gets muted at lower resistances. Experiment is all I can assume so one can find their sweet spot on a particular atomizer.

My mollasses like NETs need less heat so I use them on my Fatty at 1.3 ish. My peppermint takes my breath away at lower than 1.0 so I prefer 1.1. My strawberry/ pineapple can be used at lower than 1.0.

PS, with how well the X performs I have found that Im raising all my builds now. Im finding my less than 1.0 are making me cough now. Did I say how much I love my X ?

I find anywhere from 1.2-1.8 is my spot. For GVC it's always only silica, eko, or cotton wicks. I honestly haven't even tried it in my Heron yet. It's just soooo good in my Kayfun.

Just wait till the fervor of when the Ti comes out.

Ti? Hmm.. Last I remember..

We are all hanging out in a great park... Having some GP Family fun!

There are a few of us, with our lazy butts sitting on a bench. The bench is crowded, so no doubt, I'm taking advantage of that situation, and sitting on someone's lap. :)

Last I looked, the bench looked something like this...

Bench: Yankeebobo, Cucco, Devilution2010, landman2k1, Ace Wop, StrikeIII, VapinBill, Wolfmeat, illus101086, Woody7781, BILLB OKC, sedge

Zbeast0, Spydro, and cliffy15 get up and down to stretch their legs a bit............

Am I remembering things right?

I wanted to send out a "big thank you" to the special someone that sent me some Peaches and Cream yarn so I can try it out. I feel like a real dummy that I dont remember who it was. I cleaned out some of my PMs and I guess I deleted the PMs. It was someone from MI. Thank you so much, I appreciate it. I just boiled it and dried it and I have it in a coil ready to pop in.

Thanks Sandy
You are very welcome! :)

Good thing I kept up with the posts today! 250+ in twelve hours! Ouch! :)

Too much to really keep current on and well on the way to Part 4... in August.
