I've done some IT a long time ago, but my passion and occupation is software development. I've worked on single user applications, client- server applications, and connection managers, but my focus has been on cloud applications for a while now. I manage software teams and projects so I don't get to code that much professionally, mostly personal side projects when I have time. I most recently wrote a little application that runs on a Linux box at home that periodically checks websites to see if vaping gear that I want comes in stock and sends me a text message.

I like software development, too. That's where I started. Working on badly managed projects seems to generally be the norm, though, and that got old fast. Now that I'm on the infrastructure/service side I think I'd like to get back into development ... just for fun.

the IT guy at my job: "did you reboot?" lol

I actually understand when people complain about that, but I also understand why people ask that...

Well at least you guys are cool IT guys!! The IT people in my company are all jerks to deal with.....Every time we have a problem with our ERP system (Epicor 9), they point the finger at us.....Everything is always OUR fault. The one guy who does desktop support always has an attitude and is just an all-around miserable person.......My phone died a few weeks ago (we get company phones), and he was like "well what did you do to it?!?".....it took him almost a week to replace it....I just don't like our IT dept very much (no one does at our company)....

Sadly, I've noticed that the general trend is for those outside of the IT department don't take especially well to those in IT (jerks, or not). Basically, I tell people I work for the complaint department because I only hear from people when things are broken or malfunctioning.

Otherwise, when people ask what I do I just tell them I "work with computers" because, either way, it tends to be a conversational dead-end.

I don't want to say what it says. I have no idea what you all are talking about. What is IT?

Faker! *fingerpoint*

I wrote in many languages over the years. But, can't help it, I never lost my love for COBOL. I missed it, when we moved on. :)

OMG, I hated COBOL so much that changed my focus to EE. Didn't come back to computer stuff until SGML/HTML and NCSA Mosaic came around. (with a few stops at LISP, FORTRAN, and C/C++).

At least all my work is done with other IT professional staff.

Those front line desktop PC support guys? You couldn't pay me a million dollars a year to do that job, lol.

I did that before. It SUCKS. Now I'm behind a desk with 5 computers, systems/server administration, info security and digital forensics. I'm the douche that confiscates computers because the mingons do something they shouldn't have done.

If the coil is above the screws more than it should, you may have shorts, because the topper will touch it.

Yes I'm wondering if that's my problem. I'm going to break it all down this weekend and give everything a good cleaning, then start again. The Heron was pouring juice out of the airflow hole last night so it's all gunky. The weird thing is, you may recall, I was having the same problem with one of the Spheroids (which is on it's way to you as of last week for a look-see) so I'm beginning to wonder if it's the X somehow. Thing is, I put on a Kracken and no issues.

Regardless, it will all come apart this weekend and get cleaned and rebuilt and I'll see how it goes!

Hmm... as far as liquid pouring out of the airholes - and someone hasn't already answered - you're either overfilling your Spheroid/Heron, or you need more fluff.

I overfill mine on occasion. Mostly because I'm impatient and I don't take it slowly.

yeah, when I did my first build with the heron, i had too much fluff and it leaked out the airhole. trimmed it up and it was good, but it took a moment to get that all the eliquid to stop running out the opening. I guess i could have blown it out, but i wasn't thinking straight at that point lol

At that point, blow it out. Then take the gpin out and mop up. You're vaping in seconds.

I have found that a good universal size of fluff for the Heron is about .75" x 2" (~20mm x 50-55mm). I used about this when I vaped GVC in the heron. However I have vaped 50/50, heavy VG and VG only. I tend to add some 50/50 to my VG to dilute it down.

I would start there and adjust if needed. Keep it maybe at just over the 2"/55mm. It's easy to trim some off to find your zone than to add.

Thank's YankeeBro. Youre suggestions will be very helpful (and they are way better than the lack of any other replies). ;)
