Has this happened to anyone? I took the switch out to adjust it to find the screw was black all on top. It even made it to the top of the spring and part of the switch base.

My coil is at 1.3 so I don't think anything is melting. No shorts...etc ...

I was at work the other day and I decided to clean the threads of my GP Paps v3 LUX. I simply used a paper towel with my fingernail and NO water. I definitely saw my negative contact during this process and it was fine. I screwed everything back together and vaped for a bit. I noticed nothing irregular during this brief time. I opened it up again like 10 minutes later and found a thick black ring on the bottom of my battery and on the top of the negative contact that was not there before. Again, I did not use any water to clean it and I have no explanation for what went happened and why it did this. This has happened to me before and I wish I knew what causes it. My micro coil is also at 1.3ohms and has been used for weeks and I have NEVER experienced a hot button or a short to my knowledge ever.

Taking an educated guess here, as Yank and the others said, that's what it looks like when some moisture gets in the switch. I've had it happen once, though not to that extent. As Idahbro has said previously, a white eraser will get that all cleaned up. ;)

Aside from working the threads under water, I haven't given it a full cleaning, yet, as I just got it in today. But it wasn't like that when I got it.

I cleaned off most of the black stuff but still have to do a better job when I'm at home. I'll vape it for a bit tonight and if it starts appearing again I'll go back to my v3 until I can sort it out...

Cliffy, the switch was wet somewhere. That is from water intrusion. Definitely.
Everyone must take special care and completely, insulator and all, disassemble switches when cleaning. Then dry twice.
A white eraser will.clean the silver nicely.

My man Landman and I know this :).

You know, when I'm in a hurry to dry things like these parts, I use compressed air. Two cans are like $5, blows out all the droplets of water pretty well in the small parts...

I use a motorcycle dryer. Great tool! I use it for so many things! Sometimes, I even use it on my motorcycle. :)

ELA 16.jpg But, I have to REALLY hold onto the item!

Confucious say never use cannon to kill mosquito unless mosquito lands on GP mod. It can take it.

For all you GVC fiends, it will be on sale again Monday 7/28. I've got an alar set to wake me up at 2:45am CST, it goes on sale at 9am BST.

Speaking of Grant's... I received my missing bottle today. He went above and beyond, including a couple of sample bottles of the other mix types. As I said before, Grant is a quality guy!

Today was my 3 year vaping and cig free anniversary. I just remembered.

Have a great Vapourday tomorrow everyone. I'm sitting out this one.

SS 650 X tubes and Ti Heron tubes are on my list.
Congratulations. Tell your daughter thanks as well buddy. As I remember it was her that helped :).

You set your alarm a week in advance? ..... I'm lucky to get mine though the night

More of a calendar alert really. 15 minutes before the sale begins my phone, iPad, and laptop will all start playing wake up by arcade fire. I like to keep my calendar alert noises ironic.
