Just ordered 100mL of VG/Heavy!! Thanks for the heads up, mssam... I already have 200mL of 50/50, so I figured I'd mix it up and grab some VG/Heavy this time. The first time I ever tried Grants it was VG/Heavy and I quite liked it, so it'll be nice to have a little stockpile of it....

I just put a big juice order in last week which should be arriving today. Otherwise I too would have been placing a "stocking" order. I'm down to my last 50mls on GVC. I had to relegate to just spheroid use so I wouldn't burn through it so quickly. Once it arrives I'll be putting the GVC back in the Heron it belongs

I have a hair line scratch on an a/b tube. Does anyone know how I can clean that up and make it go away without damaging the shine, look, etc. ?

Even with the afc ring open all the way, it's still not giving you enough airflow?

It does work well and I'm keeping one of my Herons setup this way for at least little while. My build may be somewhat restricting my airflow (with the afc wide open) but it's good because the tighter draw makes it easy to take normal mouth to lung hits. I think I could eke out a bit more flavor with more air though.

I think maybe I'm getting more used to the Odin dripper I've been toying with and it's throwing me off a little. I'm still not fond of all the motions I have to go through with dripping ... hence this build...

Maybe I should raise the coil a bit...

Just messing around and built this tonight since I didn't want to squeeze dual coils in the Heron.

Instead, I did 7/8 wraps of parallel 28ga wire and this came in at .65 Ohms. Performs quite well but I don't think this build will be used much because ... one, the Heron + 18650 mode really is a bit tall to suit my tastes and, two, I just don't have enough airflow for this build to work its best.

I don't know if getting a Heron 1.5 would fix it but this was more of an experiment than anything else.

I think after all the excitement lately Perseas definately deserves a little vacation.
...my bank account sure needs one!
Haven't been here much lately as life has been busy as hell. Finished off all my work travel and vacation time with a nice little camping trip this past weekend with my oldest daughter.

The Ti has been doing awesome. Total time twisting under running water about 3 hours and haven't lubed it or had a problem since

Ah, I'm slow today. Is there patina on it? Do you keep it polished? If a light scratch, patina will cover it in time.
If you enjoy the shine. You need to polish it completely. A product like Autosol will remove the scratch if used correctly. Autosol is an amazing polish. It truly depends on the depth. The composition of ab is a bit more soft than ss so more care is taken when polishing.
Although I stopped taking surface marks out of my tubes, I used to find the white pads of Scotchbrite to be soft enough to blend in light surface marks.
You really should have a PnB tool handy as they are worth more than their weight in gold.

I hear ya on the bank account front. I just realized that the x switch is nearly double the price of the v3 switch... Talk about a budget buster lol. Total price for AFC ring, tube, and switch is the same as buying a brand new Paps v3. Add in the drip tip and its about $176. Ouuuuuchhhh. Looks like that just aint happening anytime soon.

WOOODS! Autosol Metal Polish. In the Gold Can or now convenient tube . It is a dream to use. Just a dab will do ya! Many of the true collectors only use this compound. It will work on Micro scratches or just to make a tube pretty again.
