Thank you, I just looked at the instructions i have and it does say to warm the VG not boil it, then add the tea. I have some amazing Earl Grey, smells heavenly. I was thinking of adding just a touch of apple or pear to sweeten it just a tad in case it needs it. I love Twinnings teas, black currant is heavenly too. Someone said that the tea imparts some caffeine so I was not going to use with nicotine, just add a bit of PG to thin it for a 60 or 70% VG blend.

Depending on how long you let your maceration run that may be a little strong.

My teas I use at 7% to 10% my coffees I use from 2% to 5% depending on which one it is.

The rant: trying to deal with strangers in todays world is a good way to learn new tricks...

Most of my life I thought doing it right, doing it all the way and with the best money could buy for it was the smart way to do anything. But I've found that the massive assortment of skeltons accumulated and left over from all of that becomes a massive issue to deal with when you near the end of the trail and have no family left to leave them to. Over a few years I sold some of those skeletons to get rid of them on-line. Then selling for even close to a fair price became way more of a PITA than just tossing them out, so I started tossing out. I'm not talking about vaping gear, I've never tried to sell any of mine. But everything else I had accumlated for my various interest areas over the years. In those other interest specific forums anyway people want everything for nothing now days, literally, and are downright rude about it. Not on my watch, I toss them out instead and it doesn't matter how much money I had invested in them. I will not cater to trolls. Most of my life I gave things away to help others out, including strangers... cash to help pay rents, bills or buy groceries, bought Christmas for their kids when they couldn't afford to, gave them vehicles, guns, gave or bought them furniture or appliances, computers, or anything else I had excess of and they had a need for. That is until several of them met on the Internet I learned had taken advantage of my good intentions when it turned out they had lied to get high dollar items for free. Never again.

Just remembered a vape related one... a gent I didn't know trying to get a bunch of used vape gear and basic eliquids donated to give to military folks trying to quite smoking. I'm a Vietnam Vet, so naturally I have to help. I didn't have any of the gear he specifically wanted, lots of other folks did, so I bought a dozen bottles of appropriate tobacco and menthol eliquids in the strengths he wanted and had it shipped direct to him. He didn't like what I bought, so who knows if they were given to the service folks or just tossed out. Another never again.

I know.... Been there.... :(

I adore you! :)

Get you some organic Madagascar or Tahitian beans, at least those are the two varieties that I enjoy most but I do use Mexican beans from time to time. You want to use Grade B beans, Grade A are prettier, fatter and smell better, they are best used for cooking. The extra water content in Grade A actually hampers the extract/infusion you are making.

Use the solvent of your choice, in Mason jars. VG or PG works, just depends on what you want to work with. PGA also works but you should use a high grade Vodka or organic PGA and distilled water. 35/65 PGA/H2o

Split the beans on a cutting board, gently scrape out the caviar, gently rough up the inside of the bean husk, I then cut my bean husks in 2 or 3" pieces. Put all the bean husks and caviar in the jar put your solvent in. I use 25 to 30 beans per 12oz of solvent for use with DYI e-liquids (typical 1x is 8-10 beans per 12oz). It takes about 2 to 3 months, at least for me, I try to remember to get it out of the dark cabinet once or twice a week and shake it but it is ok if you forget. I filter mine to 5 micron but you can squeeze it through coffee filters ~20 micron.
    It is amazing :D

That is just how I do it....

Thank you, thank you! That was super of you to outline the materials and process for the vanilla. Now to find some magic beans.

Oh, dont worry, I meant that I would use it as an extract for an eventual as above blend. I like very lightly flavoured liquids.

Soooo.......please tell the perks of the flat top cap for Paps v3 and why some of you want them badly as compared to the one that came with it? It is very dreary and rainy here today, I hope the sun is shining on the rest of you!!

Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Well for me, I am usually always running a dripper on at least one of my paps's (or a Rose or something with side airflow), and those don't require the grooves in the top cap. I now have 3 V3 switches and just need 1 more top cap to have 3 complete V3 Paps's, so I figured why not have a solid one to throw in the mix? :)

It's more or less an aesthetics thing to be quite honest (at least for me).....

Although I do like having the grooved ones as well due to my love for the Spheroid.... :)

I started multi-quoting before I realized I'd blow up my poor phone in the response. Nevertheless thank you, all, for the tips and pointers :)

I'm sure I'll find flavors that never get used.that's a risk I'm willing to take vs all this liquid lying around that I don't like and just keep as "just in case" at a fraction of the cost. I figure it just comes with the territory. :)

I started off at wizard labs because they had a good selection of flavors and materials all in one place to get me started. I'm excited!

Although I no longer do tobacco I can see how getting through it with reasonable success will lead me to looking into extract/infusion.

While I do believe some regulation is in order, I'm afraid of what the Fed will bring. It's good to know that if it ever becomes oppressive I can still source almost all I need in the future easily. What happens to the nic will happen and although it'll be hard to get, it won't disappear and it's the only part that I (currently) have need of.

Once I figure out two, or three, good advs I'm guessing the tinkering (and fun) will begin. I aspire to a lightly sweetened, green tea mattcha creme!

I meant to but did not get around to. The different varieties of vanilla beans have distinctly different flavor profiles.

Madagascar is what you are used to seeing as "Vanilla" or bourbon vanilla
Tahitian is going to be closer to "French Vanilla" sans heavy cream, it is more floral.
Mexican is the original, it has some really neat characteristics to it's flavor profile but does not fit into what we are used to as "Modern Vanilla"

There are others, but you know, only so much time...

Perseas did a great job designing the GP Paps v3 top cap with effective and unobtrusive air slots. I don't want to take away anything from that. However, for some people who use atomizers with independent airflow, air slots on a top cap are not needed and some would prefer to have a seamless look without any holes or slots. There's no true advantage, as JP said, it's purely aesthetic.

I used to only use atomizers with independent airflow (KFLs and RDAs), but of course now I enjoy my Spheroid too. Nonetheless, I have a v2.5 flat top cap and I could use a v3 flat top cap with a GPin on all of my 22mm Paps (and other 20x1 threaded tubes).

    Thanks Perseas!

@Spydro, Yep. Bingo. I have reaped much help within the last couple years + rehabilitating my adapted distaste for people in general. This thread and a very good friend has cast much light on the dark side of my feelings of what society has churned out.
I will tell you Spydro, if we lived any closer you would be tired of me hanging out with you.

    @Cucco, *clearing throat, ahem. :)

Agreed. As noted on another forum, I'm in :). Thanks Master P and the your efforts M.
I have always had a love for the 2.5 flat cap and have many but, saw little need for it with the new V3 slotted caps. Truthfully, I believe I wanted them from the get go.

oh.....Ninja P, I wouldn't make less than 75 but 100 is a nice round number....Ok, just consider 150 as it is a multiplier of 3 and it is a better number and more safe than the 75 you were going to originally produce knowing that many own a set of 3 PAPS either v2.5 or v3.0. And knowing that when you decided on 100 top caps... those of us that have all versions, sizes and metals will be ordering many of them. So, I just wanted to say thank you for the 150 that you decided on building as that gives us loyal GP users potential availability in the near future after the initial release.
Thanks again my friend P, how you decided to produce 201 of them brings much relief to all of us

    75? 150? Did I read a wrong number earlier?

Even though I really stick to 2-3 recipes for my juice. I DO love the flavors in my juice. I am assuming that I would get bored with just plain nic juice. I may have to give it a try though just see what it's all about.

Yeah, it get's dull rather quickly :D I read somewhere that if you get vaper's tongue (you can't taste your juice) then you should vape unflavored juice for a day or two. I tried it a few times and then I stuck with it.
Also, mixing (DIY-ing) is reaaaaalyyyy easy :D

I have never had vaper's tongue.

I won't even attempt to DIY, until I move. If I do, I'll set up a little lab. Cat free zone.. :)

Finding a good peppermint vape or peppermint in general and pound water can also do the trick.
I've had it with GVC and it floored me. I just couldn't taste it and what I did was terrible.
I remember telling Yankeeballs that I think I got in on a bad batch lol. By then I was 24/7 vaping GVC and frebasing it in between. Lol. Chasing the Dragon man......
I've since completed GP's treatment center program for GVC addicts. I used to blame P Dawg for my addiction well just so you all know.....I still do ...
