The other battery is still showing red in the charger, is that normal? How long to these batts charge? Going to be putting the one I've been using back in the charger soon.
This is a whole new world for this 3 year vaper that has only used stick 808's :D

The batteries can take up to 6-8 hours to charge fully. You can tell how much is on your battery by tapping the power button once, the first number you get is the resistance of the atty you're using. The second number us the volts (I think that's right, someone correct me if not) you have left on your battery. 4.1 is full, and I usually change out my battery when it's at about 3.4, but they can go lower before they are dead.

Firewing,
Nothing in the mail today. Tracking hasn't updated since the 18th.

Also, if someone were to conduct an audit of my Karma, I'm petty sure its still in the red. Working on it though. ;)

Plantvr,
What charger are you using?

Well hopefully it'll be there tomorrow, since the estimated delivery day was today...I miss my Gripper:( I'm having to use my Lavatube well waiting and it's just not the same, not the same at all lol...I'm pretty sure this is giving you like a bizallion karma credits so you should be good now;)
Thanks again
Cara

Take out the battery from the charger and check it's voltage in the Gripper, at 4.0v it's almost full charge :)

Thankz Zurd! Took the one that's been charging the longest and it was at 4.1.Put the one I was using back to charge while I use this newer one for a bit :)

That charger is going to be pretty slow. I'd assume 6-8 hours for a 2000mAh battery.

Wow that long huh? What charger would you recommend? And are the batts i got the best ones for this pv? I think I'm on overload from reading all the discussions, youtube vids, etc. Would love some good, solid recommendations in print, thanks!

Get the XStar WP2 charger, it's charges battery at 1a instead of the regular 0.5a like most chargers do (so it's twice as fast!).

The Panasonic CGR18650CH are now renowned to be the best battery on the market right now, but anything AW IMR is also very good. Get flat tops, not sure a nipple top would fit in a Gripper.

Efest 2000mAh are good batteries and will do fine in the gripper. Personally, not my first choice in batteries, but that holds no weight against their performance. If Panasonic CGR18650CH's didnt exist then I'd look towards the Efest's.

The charger you have has a 500mA charge rate. Typically that is good for batteries up to 1000mAh. For larger batteries the charge time can get pretty long as you have found. My charger recomendation is the Xtar SP2.

Xtar SP2

Selectable charge rates of 500mA, 1000mA, and 2000mA make it good for batteries as small as 600mAh and as large as 4000mAh or more.

If budget is a concern then the Xtar WP2 II is the predecessor to the SP2.

Not as refined as the SP2, but still an outstanding performer. I have 2 of them and if one were to die, I wouldn't hesitate to replace it with a 3rd.

If you like the techy stuff, here are tests done on the 2 Xtar Chargers.

FYIW - I use both eFest flat tops and AW button tops w/o a problem in my Gripper.
