Good morning Army. According to my knowledge, shelf life for e-liquids is variable and dependent on several things. If your juice is stored in LDPE bottles (the soft sided bottles HHV has) then they will not keep as long compared to HDPE (hard sided plastic). Glass bottles will keep them fresh for the longest period. Storage temperature and relative humidity play a roll too. Generally, storing your liquid in the fridge will likely double the lifespan of your juice. The ingredients play a huge roll in shelf life. juice which contains organic solids (NETs and any other naturally extracted plant based flavorings) will oxidize faster than artificial flavorings and natural distillates. Propylene Glycol is also a good preservative. Juice with higher levels of PG will hold better than high VG juice. There are several other factors which play into shelf stability; acidity/alkalinity levels, alcohol content, and sugar content to name a few. The best thing one can do to get the most life from a bottle of juice is to store it in glass bottles in a cool, dry place.

or else just vape it up and order more :)

That's what I've always done. I do have some juice just over a year old and it tastes fine. That isn't to say that "old" liquids are safe to inhale. No one has conducted a comprehensive study on this issue. The information we have is based on food storage practices.

Which in lieu of an e-liquid study is probably the best approach.

on a more serious note... how does one tell if a juice has gone south? will it taste funky, look weird, wont make vapor? Im thinking it would be hard to tell... kinda like cheeses, some cheese are supposed to taste better after they grow mold...

BK for me it's the taste is off...then I toss it.

Not so much in this case though. I suspect you dislike Huntsman because you tried one of the earlier first batches which would turn darkest brown - and quickly, whereas the newer batches don't turn more than a dark orange. That's where the maple is much more apparent, whereas before Huntsman had almost a cigar flavor with the subtlest of maple hints.

Agree. And the flavor also changes with age. I know Adam has told me his extracts change with age. That's probably why some people say they taste maple in Huntsman when I know there was no maple in it a year and a half ago.

I definitely don't get cigar from it , more of a smokey pipe tobacco with definite maple tones , not Aunt Jemima artificial maple syrup though more of a natural woody maple flavor .

I never disliked Huntsman. My Huntsman never went brown. It went deep orange. We just have different perceptions of maple. I never got a hint of maple from Huntsman. I've had several different maple tobaccos from different vendors and Huntsman never approached those. But again, it's perception. And I do wonder what the "current" Huntsman tastes like. Could it be different than when I last ordered it? Possibly.

I really don't care what Adam puts in the juice. As long as it's GOOOOOOOOOOOOD. Truth is I've only had one HHV that I didn't care for. And stand by for the bashing. It was Huntsman. (runs for cover.). I've got a carto/tank filled with mocha java smooth, that every now and then just suits my fancy. As well as everyone else's.

Ok this is for the fellows here. (sorry ladies). Now that I made Tresa mad enough not to talk to me I can finally get some things done. She went to her bedroom and door is closed. Now I can finally finish what I wanted to do 4 hours ago.
