Gotta love those encouraging words from the doc..
Keep taking it easy, no need to rush back to work and hurt yourself again.
Try some straight peroxide on those shirts and pillowcases.

:) I'm sure my wife will have something for them. (I'm clueless domestically) But the drainage stained 2 of my favorite t-shirts. :)

That sucks about the vertigo Ray but the Doc's have to bring up the worst case scenario to cover all the bases but I'm sure the odds of complete recovery are overwhelmingly in you're favor , just take it easy and catch up on some tube watching , treat yourself to some new vape gear and let yourself mend .

I have no doubt she'll do well. Just tough to see her go. And when her mother and I served, the world had never heard of 9/11 or a war on terror.

It'll be harder on her mother. We already had one fly the coop. A second is in college and away more than she's at home.

I agree with the others, don't rush back to work take the time to heal, Ray. Hope you're feeling better soon. As for the empty nest syndrome, I can relate. Our nest emptied pretty fast with only one daughter and she went off to do High School and Uni in LA. We've kept in touch near daily on the net or phone in my wife's case, but it has been rather quiet since she left, even though she's home almost every summer.

Hard to believe she's getting married in 4 months. Where does the time go?

I'm not sure why you're there. But I can relate. I hope it goes well for you and you can enjoy a meal soon.

Oh, taking it easy is the easy part. :)

As for new vape gear, that will have to wait until I'm earning again. Whenever that might be. Yeah, I have disability insurance, but I earn a lot more if I'm working. ;)

8 wraps giving you 1.9ohms with 28g wire? What size mandrel are you wrapping it on? Are you using a 3mm bit, RJ?!

Can I ask what voltage/wattage you're using to fire this coil?

I was thinking the same thing, Dusty. I wrapped 10 or 11 wraps (11 I think) of 28ga around a 5/64ths drill bit (1.8mm +/-) and it was testing at 1.8 ohms. I just tested it again after a full day of use and it's at 1.9 ohms.

I think she said in another post she wrap the coil round a screw driver that was smaller than 1/8th, so maybe somewhere between 2mm & 3mm. :2cool:

Tripple digits half way to home
Ok finally home. After 5 hours in the ER. Oh what fun it is,, to ride in ambulance. Havn't eaten in over 24 hours. Hungry is not the word for it. Shaking so bad I can't do anything. Diffenetly won't be any sleep tonight. Roids have kicked in.
Have I ever mentioned how much I HATE STEROIDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Plus the Alburatol treatments I have to get. And the IV is still bleeding.
WOW at least I have one bright spot. My shirttail brother did bring my VTR with some nice WTA with him. Vape in a ER room.
    Just don't get caught......

when I got wacked, spent 4 days in hospital, 1 extra day in Mississippi ( too woozy to drive home), and 5 more days on the sofa at the house. Did alot of sleeping. I ended up with a fractured skull, broken nose and cheek, and 2 fractures (1 each) C3,C4. and 27 stitches.
long term effects notice so far... short term memory issues, when typing my fingers dont go to the proper keys (hand eye coordination thing i guess) oh yea.... had mood swings galore... fits of grumpyness... Keep an eye out Ray for the moodiness...
