I have NO idea how you manage all those trips BK. Do you have 3 weetabix for breakfast or something?

btw... when I was coming home last nite, a PU truck in front of me slammed on his brakes and swerved to the right and then drove off again.... several seconds later I passed the site where the truck swerved and there was a black musshed thing in the road... a second later and it hit me... it was a skunk and it obviously let go its stink before it died... almost lost everything that I ate that day....

Have a wonderful day all!

My son turned me onto this: How to renew your body: Fasting and autophagy - Diet Doctor

The consequences of accumulating old junky proteins all over the place can be seen in two main conditions – Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) and cancer. Alzheimer’s Disease involves the accumulation of abnormal protein – either amyloid beta or Tau protein which gums up the brain system. It would make sense that a process like autophagy that has the ability to clear out old protein could prevent the development of AD.

What turns off autophagy? Eating. Glucose, insulin (or decreased glucagon) and proteins all turn off this self-cleaning process. And it doesn’t take much. Even a small amount of amino acid (leucine) could stop autophagy cold. So this process of autophagy is unique to fasting – something not found in simple caloric restriction or dieting.

There is a balance here, of course. You get sick from too much autophagy as well as too little. Which gets us back to the natural cycle of life – feast and fast. Not constant dieting. This allows for cell growth during eating, and cellular cleansing during fasting – balance. Life is all about balance.

So I have just started the 16:8 fasting.

16:8
This involves daily fasting for 16 hours. Sometimes this is also referred to as an 8-hour eating ‘window’. You eat all your meals within an 8-hour time period and fast for the remaining 16 hours. Generally, this is done daily or almost daily.

For example, you may eat all your meals within the time period of 11:00 am and 7:00 pm. Generally, this means skipping breakfast. You generally eat two or three meals within this 8-hour period.

My theory (can't hurt right?) is that it will cleanse my body of the dead cancer cells and hopefully work on any that are still struggling to live. Shut them babies DOWN!

Good Morning Army. Heading back to the Doctor this afternoon. I have feeling and motor skills in my left hand again, but my neck hurts like hell. Ibuprofen helps to take the edge off, but still...
April. looks like I am in three Championship Games, including the money league ! Hope you are doing as well with your teams.

Have a Safe and Blessed Day :)

This may sound daft, and off target, but for a while when I injured my neck, I bought and used one of those neck braces you can buy in Walmart. It really helped take the edge off. Yeah, it looks sorta ridiculous, but if you feel that type of support would help then it might be worth it.

I was given conflicting info by the docs at the hospital as to how long I had to wear a cervical collar . One said three weeks another said six weeks , wore it for three and a half weeks and took it off , really irritated me , but I guess I've overdone things the past few days , and my muscles haven't healed enough to go without support so I'm back to wearing it , it does help alot with the muscle pain but it does press on my incision so six of one, half a dozen of another for me at least . It'll probably help Papaw , make sure you get a well padded one and wear a thick shirt underneath it .
