Cows are funny. They've got a barn to get in to stay out of the wind and rain, and they're laying out in the pasture in the cold wind, chewing their cud and looking content.
I could do that.

Merry Christmas Army. Speaking of armies, got one coming any minute. Checking out.

Just had a chat with my sis on WhatsApp. Very cool. She has a houseful of her children, significant others and their children. Next time, I plan on having a makeover. That small camera pic of yourself broadcasting is really cruel. Never was fond of telly-telephone. Now, I'm sitting here, 80 degrees, sunshine with the aroma of a rib roast in the oven, and yorkshire puds going in after that:drool::drool:

It was lovely to hear everyone had a nice Christmas.

I did end up making a venison roast - small version with quinoa and a green salad, plus dinner rolls of course, and pie.

Dinner was a bit late, but it worked! all in all, a lovely and quiet Christmas... :)

Well I was all excited about my new diffuser. Now I read last night that some oils are not good for pets, especially cats. Last night I was trying to get a list, but I found some conflicting information. So I am going to have to delve into this further. Honestly I go in and out the door so much, I don't think it would hurt the pets. Still, I'd rather not use something that is mentioned as bad. I can diffuse, but not as much as I had planned on doing. Before I just put them on my skin with a carrier oil. I'm saying this so anyone else who has a diffuser and pets, use with caution. I'm working on a list now. For sure it seems no hot oils, nor citrus for cats. No hot oils for dogs such as clove, cinnamon, oregano... Definitely do not use Tea Tree with dogs or cats. There is much more, but those I gather for sure are not safe.

UPDATE: Still checking out this info. The key is high quality oils. I saw a vet say that you could use Lavender and Tea Tree at a 1-2% dilution with a carrier oil such as olive oil. (I say coconut oil is a good carrier oil too) So that would be a 30ml glass bottle filled with olive oil, and add 5 drops of EO to the bottle for a 1% dilution. 10 drops for a 2% dilution. If you diffuse Lavender use about 5 drops of EO to a cup of water in your diffuser. This could take a while for me to get to the bottom of this issue. I will continue to research this.

Christmas was good, but glad it's over. Packed up the tree and decorations last night. Got the frowny face from my mom about that, but I like less stuff sitting around.

Tech question.. I bought a portable storage device (my passport) to back up pics on my dinosaur. I got them all copied to it, but when I plug it into my son's new laptop, they aren't there.. What am I doing wrong?

Are you seeing the My Passport drive when you open My PC?

Are they there on your dinosaur under the My Passport drive?

Is your My Passport password protected?

Do you see any of the files from your dinosaur on sonny's new PC or just the pix folder?
