If that's all you want to do then I would agree with Retic. Go to your File Explorer and right click on your photo file (assuming all your photos are in one main file). Then click on properties and see how many GB your picture file is. This will give you an idea how big your Flash drive needs to be. I'd at least double it cuz you might need it for other crap later and flash drive memory is fairly cheap.
I agree with this , even if you have to move them piecemeal , it will work .

Thanks guys! It shows about 14gb. Not as much as I thought. So I'll just get a flash drive and save them. May still do the Linux afterwards.
Smart move , this will give you an idea of what Linux Mint XFCE is like .

Good Morning Army. My package finally arrived - or at least most of it. Ordered six NFL replica jerseys, received five. And one was a youth large instead of a men's large. Then drove across two counties to hand deliver the four correct jerseys, and gave cash to John and Judy. Since they won't answer the posted phone number I emailed my concerns. Their reply was :
"Sorry. Or could you send a picture ..."
    My reply was :
"A picture of a jersey that never arrived. clever...."
They didn't have any trouble accepting payment over two weeks ago. So much for online shopping.
    Coffee. Need coffee....

Have a Safe and Blessed Day :)

On a happier note ; I lost all three Championship Games in Fantasy Football. But, by coming in second place in the Pay n Play League, I did win $150 !
Might be time to check out the Therion 75C Bottom Feed Temperature Controlled Mod ! :thumb:
Congrats on the winnings if not the championship. $150 is $150.

Are you a TC vaper now Pops?

    @PapawBrett

If you ever would like to buy something online I will help you do the research if you need... I have time and experience.
Pops needs lots of help. :D

    Good morning Army!

Still playing around with TC. The Pico just shuts off when temp is reached, then cycles back on once the coil temp drops. There are supposedly better devices out there.
And getting assistance come with age. ;)

That's odd. The watts are supposed to decrease but not shut off.

Retic that video was great. I had to slow it down though, that person was going too fast for me. I wish my modem had two plug ins, so I could use one computer to refer to that video, while I work on the other one...lol. I don't have the time right now to fool with it, but it is on the agenda. I know I can dual boot, but I couldn't figure that out. I must have 2-3 old computers still here though. I don't have wi fi anymore, and don't plan to get it either. I had a Cisco router, but then I went to Win8, and it wouldn't work. My router was right past the 12 month mark, and they wanted money to pay a tech to walk me through it. I said no, that is the last time I will ever buy from you again and I meant it too. I got that router for my family, as both kids lived here then. We were always fighting about who had the computer. Imagine two teens and me, the internet junkie. It wasn't pretty. My daughter started college and got her own computer. Then my son and I took turns with my computer.

Yeah , he covered every setting in record time , The linux installation program has an option to install alongside , you click on the drive and a sliding bar let's you adjust how much disk space you want each to have , the installer set's up the dual boot based on those settings . The only reason I dual boot is for some games I have on Windows , everything else get's done under Linux .
