Yes, high quality oregano is great to have too. I mainly use that for an antiviral. I switch out my antiviral oils, and use them frequently during flu season. My Thieve's Oil has oxidized that I made in the past. I need to make up a new batch. I can't diffuse that with the pets though, sadly. (Euchalyptus, Lemon, Clove, Rosemary & Cinnamon oils=Thieve's Oil) I don't use Rosemary much, due to my blood pressure. This fall and now winter I use more clove, cinnamon & euchalyptus. I do like to mix oregano and lemon, but I only put that one on the bottom of my feet. It is a hot mixture, so I add plenty of carrier oil with it, and then cover with socks.

My daughter sent me a message telling me she found a recipe for diffusing and it was to help prevent the flu. I looked at that recipe and said what you have is Thieve's Oil, except it has orange instead of lemon. I actually smiled when I read the email. Maybe this is a case of the apple not falling far from the tree. I won't talk about natural herbs, salves and tinctures just yet. ;)

We are having bitter cold for this area. The next few nights are going to be in the teens or low 20's. In fact this is the longest stretch of hard freezing that I can remember, for here anyway. I'm not leaving the house tonight at all. I'm staying here with the pets. Besides I know the neighbor boys will be shooting fireworks, and my dog doesn't like that at all. I will diffuse lavender for the pets, and see if that has a calming effect on them. I'm either going to have one glass of wine, or open a bottle of my friend's homemade elderberry wine. I haven't made my mind up on that yet.

I've been watching that Black Mirror show on Netflix. I've seen 3 shows so far, and it is a darker show than in the past. I just want to get to the robot dogs, and I think that episode is called Metalhead. The 3rd show was pretty rough. I had to close my eyes. I wish I could wipe that one from memory. It is the one that starts with a bicyclist getting hit. Don't watch that one! The end is worse than the beginning.

BRONZE-SRV was incredible. I adored his music. I wish he was here with us right now. No telling what other great music we could listen to by now!
To say I was a fan, is a huge understatement!!!

I also took oil of oregano because it’s a natural antibiotic and antifungal. This is the worst wound she’s given me for sure! She was quite tangled in one foot and then got bumped pretty good by the other because I was in mid-stride. So she freaked big time.

You have the best bug out bag supply ever! I’ve been planning to put some more stuff together myself. Good ideas from you!

General, your post made me think about Bugs Henderson, one of the great blues guitarists ever. He was a Texas guy that never had much commercial success despite his tremendous ability. I was privileged to see him twice and met him once at a guitar show. RIP Bugs.

hopefully my day has come to an end.... I dont want to be on the road today after 5pm.... even at 11 am they were going nuts... they were doing 80 in a 60...

how to tell if you are a redneck...
you have more tire on the outside of your fenders than inside...
you can stuff a 2 liter coke bottle in the exhaust pipe and still have an inch clearence...
your trailer hitch and hooks weigh more than the trailer you are pulling...
you need a ladder to get into the truck and a parachute to get out...

Like @kkay59 I’m a huge SRV fan. But I just love the blues and Bugs Henderson could PLAY them right! I’ve never heard of him. That version of Ain’t Nobody’s Bizness is stellar. Thanks for sharing.

Totally agree on SRV! And you have so much great info on natural remedies. I wish you’d write a book! At least compile what you know and pass it on to your kids. Know how and experience like yours should be preserved. It’s a dying art to know about remedies that don’t involve Big Pharma.

Time for some shredding. Move over SRV and let Frankie take over. :D

Amazing skill. I’ve never been able to listen to music like that for long, but I do appreciate the abilities in playing like that.

And I gotta say, if not for you sharing music now and then, I never EVER would have pegged you for a metal fan. As they say, it’s the quiet, reserved ones you gotta watch! ;)

I love most music (cept for rap, pop, and opera though I admit I'm a closet fan of Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, and Katy Perry). Love me some jazz, new age, rock (soft to metal), blues, classical, and even elevator. My bud across the street listens to classical and I love when he puts it on. As for SRV, he's awesome! My favorite guitarists are Jimi Hendrix, Frank Marino, Robin Trower, and Pat Metheny (jazz). It's no accident I like Frank and Robin because they are Hendrix proteges. Frank is the edgier side of Jimi, Robin the silkier side. Both can rip. Pat is simply a virtuoso. Can play and master any guitar. When I hear some one say, "He makes his guitar cry", I think of Pat and he always pushes the high fidelity on my BIC speakers (where you can hear his fingers move between strings). But there are a whole mess of great guitarist I enjoy.. SRV, Michael Schenker, Joe Banamassa, Joe Satriani, the old black blues guys, Eric Clapton, David Gilmour, Steve Howe, Alex Lifeson, and on and on. My favorite voices are Jon Anderson, Karen Carpenter, and Chrissie Hynde. Just doesn't get any better than Karen Carpenter. I even loved Janis Joplin as crazy as she was. So yes, I like it all and I do listen to a good amount of metal.

Yes, and those are all the reasons I love it. I’m using Clapton coils (triple core pre-built), which might be helping it have incredible flavor. You do need an overstuffed wick with enough tail to help block the sides of the area under the coil. So larger inner diameter coils are best I think. Mine are 3mm ID, but 2.5mm may work as well.

Mine came from vape Royalty, and was around $23 or $24. They come with the ugliest drip tip ever, but it’s standard 510. :)

I'll stick with my OBS Nano...;)

Ravens complete the loss. Poor Pops. :(

Not really. We lost six O-Linemen last offseason to Free Agency/ Trades/ Retirement/ Injury.
I thought we were headed for a top-10 Draft pick.
Kinda disappointed they screwed up the Draft Pick...

Evening....Happy New Years Eve....

Went to my sisters for a bit because it was close to the Target I was at. Yes I bought the Roku Ultra. Took me an hour to get it setup mainly due to getting it on the network. See I didn't have a pass word for the network. I let the devices talk to the router and make up their own password. Well Roku can't do that. So while trying to put it in manually I borked the router and had to do a hard reset. So I had to setup the network again to get things back up. This time I made a 12 character password.

So it's working good. First time setup could be easier. Got some buffering now and then. May have to go try wired if it gets bad. I think I'll be needing a new modem and router before long.(both are getting outdated) I've got bad buffer bloat on the network and haven't found a way to fix it.

Other than that the Roku Ultra is working good. Like anything else I'll be removing some of the channels it preinstalled and adding some others. Directv Now was the first one.

LA, you cannot imagine how much I loved SRV. I was devastated when he died. I found out about his music when I was in the military. I played it all the time. I could listen to that kind of music all day long.

Like @kkay59 I’m a huge SRV fan. But I just love the blues and Bugs Henderson could PLAY them right! I’ve never heard of him. That version of Ain’t Nobody’s Bizness is stellar. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Pappy, I'm with Lori on that one too.

Thank you. I do know a few things, but I'm definitely not an expert. I learned by gleaning things here and there mostly. I've forgotten some things I used to know. I decided I would compile notes and recipes, and articles that I've read for the kids. I printed off a lot of stuff, before I started writing some of this down in a journal. My memory isn't the greatest, so I need to jot down stuff for future reference. I have notebooks filled with material, and almost two years ago I started writing things down by hand in a dedicated journal. I couldn't afford the printer ink anymore, so I was determined to accumulate this knowledge while I could. I was into gardening and herbs before this. So I combined these tidbits of info into something workable. I've also watched videos, and taken notes from the videos too! These things are free all over the internet.

I learned about flowers from my mother. She had a green thumb, and it ran on her mom's side of the family. I told both of my kids to save this stuff, and do not get rid of it. One day it could save their life, or someone they love. I like the way I do it, because sometimes you buy books, and it doesn't have but just a little bit in there that you really are interested in. I just take the part I want, and it saves room that way too. I don't know that I would write a book, because I would be just repeating what is already out there. I like natural remedies because they are often cheaper and work just as well in many cases. (sometimes they work BETTER than what your doctor prescribes)

And I gotta say, if not for you sharing music now and then, I never EVER would have pegged you for a metal fan. As they say, it’s the quiet, reserved ones you gotta watch! ;)[/QUOTE]

HAHA, me either. I like just about every category of music. Mainly I love rock and blues-rock.

Cool! I’m always all about the guitar too. When I played, I used to challenge myself with Joni Mitchell because of the crazy open tunings. I bought some books to learn percussive harmonics - a unique style that brings out incredible tones on acoustic guitar. Basically, they tap in certain spots on the fretboard and get harmonic notes to sound. Phil Keaggy was one of the first to play like that. Kaki King is a recent artist who repopularized it.

I like some rap, but the lyrics are often too negative and upsetting. Most pop I can’t enjoy because it gets so repetitive. EAR WORMS!

Opera.... lets just say I appreciate it. (Love ya, @Hulamoon)

Here’s a Kaki King. She starts tapping around the one minute mark.
