When we lived in Missouri lots of the people in the community had dairy farms. Their lives revolve around milking time and it is tough work. Not for me for sure.

David, hope you feel better soon. Strep is rough!

Any New Year's resolutions? I'm starting a strength program next week but that's about it for me. Ignore the scale, build a little muscle is my goal.

It's currently 15 degrees here and won't get above freezing until Friday. I'm ready for summer!
Too bad Sooners lost.

Bridget, I never "do" New Year's resolutions. I would be disappointed with myself when I didn't get whatever it was done. I think I had a 100% fail rate. Now when I am ready to do something, and want to bad enough, I usually follow through. I do have strong will to do it, once I've made my mind up. Just like those quit smoking days they came up with a long time ago, that never worked for me. vaping, now THAT WORKED!

Now we face the long part of winter with no holidays to break up the time. I’m praying it won’t be a bad one for everyone facing cold and snow.

Resolutions bring out the rebellious side of me. I’m terrible at keeping them! I’ve had a long term goal to appreciate more moments in life while I’m in them. Like not have my mind on the past or the future, but just be wherever I am and be thankful for it. That’s been going better and better. So I’ll stick with that one. :)

@kkay59 - See, you mentioned your glass of wine and I *had* to go get some. ;)

Actually, we opened the bottle last night and now someone has to spend the next few days trying to finish it. I wish they'd sell it by the half bottle!

use it for cooking ;)

My Mountain
On the road at dusk. Doe crossed 10 feet in front of me. Sure enough, a full moon. Wildlife lights up. Careful out there.

Last night was a super moon.. it was awesome. Tried to get hubby to take me to the top of the mountain for some photography but he refused... something about the cold...

Lol..

Thermometer is sitting at 1 degree this morning, actual temperature.

FUN!

New Year's resolution - physical therapy double down.

Getting dressed to go on a morning walk.... not waiting til next year. Besides, it'll make me appreciate electric heat that much more! Hahaha

@Pappy - I used to have to go out and break ice every morning in the winter and didn't like it... so I got a deicer.. Tank Heaters

You'll have to run a cord for much of them... but these days they do have solar powered one's (don't know how good they work I ran electric)

For electric you can run outdoor cords through some PVC and dig a small ditch and bury most the cord, it'll protect it from damage that way and is the cheap way to go...

it took a awhile to figger it out but i did it..... the new way to drive is as fast as possible where ever you go... dont worry about speed limits, dont worry about stop signs, start early on the red lites, and dont worry about anyone else around you... if this keeps up, insurance companies will go broke or it will get very expensive to have car insurance...o_O
