Heather's Heavenly Vapes - THE BIG THREAD (Part 6)

RJ, We missed you!!! So glad to hear from you and that you and your boy are hanging together in the gym. Kewl! And he's shaving now... or not as I see in the pic... LOL

Where was the excursion to? and who are the others in the pic? I take it Calve is what you're referring to when you said you're 190 pounds lighter? Hang in there babe you still have us! We'll always be here for you...

He shaved yesterday and looks so much better to me. HAHA!! We go five days a week to the gym and I love every single minute of it. It's my newest addiction. And I love spending that time with my son. We've grown so close over the last couple of months.

A bunch of us have get togethers...we call it the 5th Saturday. We went to a place in town that has been restored. It's like warehouse space that was turned into a Mexican restaurant. It was fun. There were nine of us that night. It was a dual purpose...it was also a going away party for my BFF's daughter who is going to spend a semester abroad in France. Yes......we are all worried sick about her but we all know it's a chance in a lifetime. The night we went to the haunted house there were 29 people!!! Here's a pic from that night...

Halloween 2015.jpg

The monsters LOVED me and I did more running that night than ever! You could hear them say, "Get blondie!" hehe I screamed until I was hoarse...but the kids loved it.

Yep Chak...it's officially over. I'm ready to get back to living and loving and being happy now. :) And I appreciate your love Chak...I had to come back to see my friends.

Hello again, Army. Home, temporarily. Back from a two-nighter, now I am supposed to be sleeping until 10pm, then get back up and do a 650 mile day run to Amma, WV. Not to worry, three days next week before a four day holiday. Then Three Weeks before a Two Week Home-cation over the Holidays ! Life is so very Good !
Lori, I do hope you get the housing situation to Closure. Don't be surprised if a little sadness and a few memories follow. That was you Home for a while....

Thanks Retic! I'll send that link to my daughter and hint Christmas is coming.
Chak , just so you know , the Birkenstocks are not softly padded but the insole has cups for your heel and toes , a toebar and serious arch support , basically orthotics built in . Last week I got the insoles soaking wet because of the rain we had so I pulled them out to dry and put some Dr Scholl's memory foam insoles in temporarily . I forgot to put the Birki insoles back in before I went to work , big mistake , I was in pain by the end of the shift , won't do that again . The Dr Scholl's stuff is crap . Dansko makes a clog with memory foam insoles but I'm not so sure it would be worth a dam for long hours on foot .

@PapawBrett - Thank you! You're right about the memories and twinges of sadness. I lived there longer than anywhere else and raised my family there. Lots of bittersweet memories. I love that the buyers have kids who will get to grow up there. Safe travels to you!

@*RJ* - You are resilient! So glad you are loving life. It shows! :)

Korean culture does too, so that's the way it is in our place. You'll fit right in if you ever visit us here! Wear those Nevados to head for Nevada. :)

I've always preferred to be barefoot, and it works well for my type of foot issues. My daily shoes are Vivo Barefoots. Picked them up a couple of years ago, and my feet no longer hurt when I'm out walking for any length of time. One benefit of past pain - it was the perfect excuse for *not* going to the mall. ;)

Hawaii culture also favors no footwear in the home.

I'm sure all will go well for you Lori, and HI RJ!!! Always good to see you. You look lovely as always.
