Can't sleep. At least not yet. Must be acclimating to Gabapentin 'cause it normally knocks me out. Either that or I am so used to shivering in the bedroom that now I can't sleep normally.
Bronze, you will just have to get your spandex out and start attending aerobics classes to push your tush into shape :lol::lol::lol:

Hey David, how is that Ultra working for you?

I have one more TV that needs a Roku. It has one but it's an old one. Works like crapola. It's the one furthest away from the Nighthawk. I'm going to get the Streaming Stick Plus. The antenna is integrated into the power cable. Don't need Ethernet hookup. Way too far away from the router. The Nighthawk actually does a pretty good job on that old crappy roku. But it is sooooo sllloooowwwwww!!! Rokus have come a long way. :)

Happy with this Nighthawk. And I got it just in time. My wifi cut out three days in a row. One time for more than an hour. So either my old wifi is wigging out or there is just a lot of traffic. Either way it has not cut out since I hooked up this Nighthawk (which was yesterday). The 2.4GHz signal is stronger than my old one. The 5GHz is the same. Laptop and Kindle performance is significantly better.

The Roku seems to be doing ok. I still have some buffering and connection issues going on but that's likely just on DTN. I haven't used it to watch much else. I think my router may be the problem for some of it because I have the Roku running with Ethernet instead of wireless. I'm going to replace the router soon.

Nah. Myass will survive. It just needs to callus up. It's not used to being gone and just needs to adjust. :)
You'll need to refer to the Great Hairy One. He'll be able to tell you all about "look at my .... in jeans" problems being as he's a skinny monkey nowadays....

My Roku stops working when I run the microwave. As soon as the "Ding!" occurs, it goes right back to working again. :D

are you kidding or being serious??? if you are serious, the microwave is leaking its "radiation" and disrupting the signal to the Roku.

The dog we weren't gonna get? If he will come home with hubby, on whatever day he will come home - he will be ours.

This is a real bad time honestly as I'm worried about money as it is, worried about lots of things, but this dog apparently needs a home - and he (the dog) chose us weeks ago and we never realized it at the time.

Him and the cat are going to have some serious problems. .. I hope they can figure it out! I'm worried they won't as the cat is deathly afraid of dogs..deathly afraid.

But a few weeks back - can't remember how long ago but the weather was nice, although this year that might not mean much, but I'm thinking sometime before thanksgiving anyway - this dog was running around the yard and trying to get in our house. ..

He was a sweet friendly hound dog, he was trying to play with the cat and just loved everyone and loved life... and GORGEOUS... wow, such a sleek beautiful dog... looked to be a young (perhaps a year old, maybe a bit younger) pureblood redbone or similar breed... but you could tell, he was someone's pet, someone's hunting dog. Very well cared for from appearance sake.

That was why when he tried coming in the house when I opened the door my husband said no, not to let him in... so I petted the dog a while, but we didn't let him in or feed him.

The reason was because he looked to be someone's dog - acted like it too... he KNEW he was supposed to come in when we opened the door, didn't think twice. Perhaps he had gotten out, but we thought surely as soon as his parents realize he got loose they would be along for him - and there was no collar so we couldn't just keep him til we could find his family... no phone number to call.

So hubby thought our best bet would be to leave him run loose, easier for his family to find him then when they came looking - we didn't want to make it harder for them to find their dog.

We never saw the dog again and just assumed his owners found him and brought him home...

Til yesterday, and now I want to cry. he had made his way now to the top of the mountain, and is living wild since the day we saw him at the house - up around hubbies work. ..

He's thin, hubby said...

people at my husband's work said they are surprised he hadn't seen the dog up there before now... because he's living up there for at least a couple weeks. ..

So, hubby is going to bring him here if he will come. He didn't last night because when he went to come home the dog didn't come when he called for him. But it was night... and at night he was probably sheltered up to keep safe from larger predators. ..

So we are going to try again today. . Whatever day he will come, we are just going to keep him.

Nice read. Hope hubby can get him. Keep us posted. Maybe food will lure him.

Yeah, always takes some tweaking. Your router sounds like it could be an issue. I watch lots of Spectrum TV on mine and it cuts out once or twice a day. I think it is a time out for inactivity. Just hit OK and it comes back. It has nothing to do with my wifi or the Roku. It is strictly Spectrum.
