Hard to believe but we just passed the 5th year anniversary of Phil's passing. Seems not that long ago. Rest in peace, Friend.

Evening....Long crazy day......

USPS strikes again... had ordered a couple of pieces for my reloading machine and it was estimated to be delivered on Thurs. ( yesterday) it got shipped to the main distribution center in Nola ( which is normal) and was supposed to be transfered to Kenner when it got to Nola ( Tues) but that was Mardi Gras day,,, so nothin was happening there... somehow it ended up in Westwego ( other side of the river) on Wendsday and has been sitting there since and now the new expected delivery date is Tues of next week... so, basically, its just going to lay in some bin for the next 5 days in a post office on the wrong side of the river. This is what happens when a government tries to run a business....

also, I had ordered a couple of reloading manuals from another company even further away from the parts place on the same day and those arrived by UPS ( not the postal service) today... and the manuals were expected to arrive tomarrow...

and to top it off... I paid 11.99$ for the shipping on the parts and the shipping for the manuals was free...

My baby turned 18 today.. he’s a good hard working young man. So proud of him. Tomorrow we go tour the college he plans to attend next fall. It’s getting real...

I’m still having fun in my kitchen! Back in 2012 I bought a pasta maker. Then I never used it. I read up on making pasta and it seemed complicated an too easy to mess it up. Boy, was I wrong! It was super easy and fun. I made fettuccini. Had some mistakes that I’ll fix next time, but it was so doggone delicious!
