I'm here! I'm here! Darn you lot do yak, lolol. Just catching up at work. It's been a rum week. (rum meaning odd, that is, not Captain Morgan's spiced finest - wish that it were!Time to check in Hula!
Yep. That's true. skies stayed lighter for longer to eyeball incoming air raids. With DST in England it can stay dusk till 10 pm at night. And I just heard that Florida is passing a bill to make Daylights Savings Time a year-round thing. The same news reports talked about the history of DST. It was originally used during war and was called War Time - it was year-round until it was repealed.
Hmmmm.
I'm looking to pick up an angle grinder. Mine grew legs 20 years ago and walked off. I never replaced it. I could really use one. Want a slightly used one or a new one that had the box opened. Looking on ebay auctions. Can't believe what these bozos pay for them. I can get a new DeWalt for $79 off Amazon (free shipping as Prime member). These clowns pay $65, $70, $80. Just pay the extra few bucks and get a brand new one with all the warranties intact. Don't know why they are willing to pay near retail for a used tool. Makes no sense. You can get decent deals on ebay but not with tools.
Good Morning Army. Maybe we should try Trucker Savings Time - roll the clocks back four hours. Sun comes up at 2am, goes down around 4pm. Wouldn't that be nice ?
Hula is still kicking. You know how Bronze worries ...
Have a Safe and Blessed Day![]()

Harbor Freight deals in a lot of junk. Good when you don't use a tool that much or don't care if you lose it.General, I have two angle grinders. One is a Dewalt that I paid around $70 for at Home Depot. It's a good grinder - typical Dewalt quality. The thing that bugs me is that the on/off switch is on the left side, and I'm left-handed, so it's awkward to use.
I recently bought another grinder from Harbor Freight. It has a paddle switch on the bottom, so it's completely ambidextrous. I like it much better, and it seems to have just as much power. I got it on sale for $20. It's this one:
4-1/2 in. 6 Amp Heavy Duty Paddle Switch Angle Grinder
HF is sorta like Sears used to be: Everything is on sale all the time. But they have big sales regularly where they discount even more. And sometimes they will have coupons to knock off even more.
It's all made in China, and the quality is all over the place. Some of their stuff is great, some is horrible, and a lot is in between. This angle grinder seems to be one of the good ones.
