Well it seems as if I can't take this antibiotic, I'm most likely allergic to it. So I braved the hellish weather and went to pick up the new prescription. The other one was close to 40 bucks for a generic. I told the doctor on call what I was allergic to, and she said she would call something in. I said remember I can't have penicillin, and I am poor, so please get me a cheap generic if possible. I nearly fainted when they said it will be two bucks. I haven't tried it yet. I started running a low grade fever. I will check it again in a while.

The pain medicine barely had any effect on me last night. I had to drive today, so I didn't take more. I will take it after I eat supper. Normally I've eaten way before this. I was out sweeping the rain off the porch, and filling new kitchen bags with water. We had a whole days worth of rain in less than two hours again. High wind, hail, and tornado watch going on. Dang, I just want to kick back and relax for a while.

Vol. 4 was probably my favorite BS record.
I loved Vol4 but the riffs that Iommi came up with in Masters of reality were ground breaking , slightly palm muffled power chords in " In to the void ' and " Children of the grave " are still being echoed by a lot of bands today .

Have you contacted the drugmaker for a discount? Most of them give you nice rates when you ask. But then if youre talking 2 bucks there isnt much room to work with. :)

I still remember the first time I heard "Immigrant Song" by Led Zeppelin. It terrified me! The "ah ah ahhhhhh..." vocals made me feel like Death had its claws around my throat. Music that's very minor and frenetic still distresses me. I guess it's supposed to, but I don't enjoy the experience. I also despise rollercoasters though, so there's that.

I never ever listen to Gregorian chants either. Horrifies me!
How about some Gothic Metal then , R.I.P. Peter Steele .

Retic, it is always good to see you show up in here. :) I guess your video is the first time I've seen a real gothic band. That guy has a very deep baritone, very impressive. I guess the gothic genre isn't for me though.

Well I never took the pain pill today, I decided not to. It is only a guess as to which drug caused the reaction I had. The pharmacist said the pain pill or the antibiotic was responsible. She figured it was the antibiotic though, and so did the doctor. My face is still flushed like it was earlier. Then I find out the new antibiotic has interactions with two of my meds. Called the doctor again about that. She said it would be okay for short term use. I have to take it for two weeks. I have to stay out of the sun as much as possible, or I can get a serious burn. I took notes on the changes.

The rain stopped here, thank goodness. It came down so hard that the streets were flooding. Many people are out of electricity. The tornado watch was cancelled for now. I hope we don't get another drop of rain tonight.

Can't let my favorite go without mention . Tony Iommi in an instrumental , very atypical for Sabbath , steel drums and a wailing Gibson SG .

Loved Sabbath! I used to creep my sister out (we shared a bedroom) by vocalising the whoo-ing in "Children of the Grave" in the middle of the night snicker  To my purist horror I also rated Heaven and Hell after the big split. :D

And I liked Uriah Heep. Mick Box was an excellent guitarist.
Uriah Heep! I owned every album they made. I was a sucker for John Wetton who was in other favourites of mine, King Crimson nd U.K.. (erm....and Asia, ahem)....

Was snowing here in Nebraska. Woke up and it is 10 degrees. Maybe I should've run the heater. Lol.

Alright, let me toss this in here.

Now your talking! I loved Led Zeppelin better than I think ALL British bands overall. YES, Genesis, QUEEN, The Hollies (Long Cool Woman In A Black Dress), The Kinks (Lola, All Day & All Of The Night, You Really Got Me) (not in a particular order) FLEETWOOD MAC was part British, and part American...I adored them. Rumours was my favorite album, but that was out later on, not in the 60's.
I did love Stevie Nicks and Christine McVie in their in their solo careers.

In the 80's I liked several British singers. Robert Palmer and Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins (both from YES, I think) come to mind.
Phil and Peter were Genesis. I saw that band so many which ways - together, and solo, every single one of them lol - even Tony Banks the keyboard player and I loved Steve Hackett's solo stuff too.

Well, I didn't mention I was having some bad kidney stone issues yesterday, and especially last night. I started getting symptoms besides pain that warranted and ER visit. That was discouraging to say the least. Good thing I went though. The Cat scan revealed a stone in each kidney. The stone I felt was quite large. I started running a low grade fever, had nausea (don't know if it was the pain, or urine backing up), and then my blood pressure shot up. The urologist wanted to work on me right away, before I left the hospital. So I got stents for now, and meds. All of the blood work isn't back yet. He wanted to keep me another night, but I had to come home because of the dogs. He said he would let me go home on one condition, if I started running fever again, not to let it go. If it got above low grade (above 100.4), I had to promise to go straight back to the hospital, and I agreed. In the near future I will get the blasting job done. Boy do I dread it already. No sleep yet, but I am about to lay down. The dogs were out of their minds when i got home. It was sheer bedlam for a little while. They are content now, with me back home where I belong. :) I can't drive yet because I still have anesthesia effects. That is okay, I'm not feeling up to it anyway. So keep that in mind when I make my posts...LOL.
Oh my gooodness KKay! How are you doing now? Sounds very severe. I had that problem in January, not early as bad as you, but was out a few days waiting for "things to go away". If you've never had them, army, let me tell ya there's a whole new degree of pain out there, just laying in wait! OWWOWWWARRGHHH.

I'd share a lot more but I'm afraid it would put many of you to sleep. I love jazz, piano, and new age too and I know I'm in the minority there. :)

We will stand back to back against the on rushing hoards. I have a large jump drive plugged into my Tacoma. I has everything from Abba to Enya and Sinatra to Julie London and Beatles to Three Dog Night, Brubeck to Davis, Cole Porter to Ella and Glenn Miller - on and on. Eclectic to state the obvious.
