Im thinking... I plan for a nice time and someone from the outer edges makes sure that it will be over complicated and I have no real option to counter the snafu... which makes my "nice time" turn into a stress filled moment....

still trying to figure out whos obnoxious grandma that was.... o_O

Too funny-I just opened Manjaro forums to read some.........
It's a better community than Mint's is , but Manjaro takes more effort to maintain properly . To me the tradeoff is worth it , simply for the KDE desktop . Kubuntu is almost identical in operation to Mint's discontinued KDE and will be the recommendation for BK's system when LM's KDE reaches end of support , basically cuz BK doesn't want the bother of maintaining a rolling release .

    weird dreams...

went to a upper end steak house ( Ruth Chris).. and someones grandma was there and she had to have her little butter knife and corn cob holders... the menu was engraved on a polished brass ball about the size of a big grapefruit ( it had 3 little legs which kept it from rolling around in the plate... lighting was dim and reflected of of the ceiling so reading the menu was futile... the waiter announced the house special so everyone ordered that since the menus were a challenge to read... being that it was a finer steak house, no corn on the cob was served and the grandma threw a hissy fit because she was denied the opportunity to use her corn cob holders and little butter knives ( yup she brought 2 of them)

everyone ate but the grandma ( since she didnt get her corn on the cob) and the wifey wanted to know the name of the sauce used on the steak... so I had to grab one of those menus and find proper lighting to find out its name.... then it started raining quite hard and..... for some reason I had arrived on my motorcycle... then I woke up... ummm became non asleep ;)

    Dream interpretation!

It’s an upper end steak house because life is good.

Impossible to read menus because your dispatchers don’t read rules or instructions and still wouldn’t look at it if it was a lovely work of art.

Grandma was the fools who stacked the warehouse so nothing was accessible and expensive items could be crushed.

Grandma was also all the speeding fools you deal with.

No corn on the cob because, hey, you can’t always get what you want.

Everyone ordered the house special because we like to take the easy route.

The waiter was every boss and bossy person telling you what to do and what to think.

The useless corn cob holders and little butter knives is most people’s brains and just as unused.

Wifey wanted the name because despite it all, you two are still curious and willing to work to learn a thing or two.

Motorcycle because.. who wouldn’t want to make a cool getaway on a fast bike?

Raining because life throws obstacles all the time! But you know what the sauce is and you’re making your getaway. Rain might slow you down, but it’ll still be a helluva ride!

    ;)

(Clearly I know very little about dream interpretation. But it’s fun anyway!)

Reminds me of when Gmail noticed me typing “sorry I missed your call” and showed me an ad for sending flowers as the best way to apologize. :sneaky:

If you bought it online, some cookie is probably there indicating your interest in it. I hate that they do that!

I miss cash on the barrel. No one tracked us then.

nope... bought it cash at walmart... I think it was the " you have to register" page on the site to make the keyboard work catch22...

one has to register the keyboard, create an account and then you can download the software to operate the lighting function... as of right now it cycles thru about 15 different colors and most of them disagree with my colorblindness...

well... thats the one issue about the sauce... I never found out what the name of it was... never found enuf lite in the place to read the menu...

But you tried! That counts for something.

So the sauce remains a mystery - like so much of life - but you’re still making efforts to ponder them and learn a thing or two in the process. :)

Dang. I was hoping the cost would be in the range that would be worth it to you to let them do it.
Me too. I can do it for $128. They want $600. I can't walk away from $472. Same reason I use every time and that's why I end up doing it myself.

Finally got rid of that smelly fire extinguisher. Kinda got the runaround trying to find out the proper way and place to dispose of it. There was a tag on it for the local company that certified it. They don’t do disposal. The woman said if it was empty, just throw it in the regular trash. When I told her it was emitting a caustic odor, she got alarmed, put me on hold and came back to tell me to bring it right in.

Sheesh! But I’m glad it’s out of here.
    What a crock!

I quit working on cars other than an oil change, plugs very minor stuff. When we had carbs, points and timing lights, I was pretty good and enjoyed it. Now, I look, scratch my head, then call the man.
I hear yuh, Bud. My truck is a 1993 and in remarkable condition. A lot of the stuff is workable for the weekend warrior. I want nothing to do with these new vehicles. Just the way the designers designed it. I wouldn't know how to start a new car nowadays (being serious).

Can't like this. While the bed is off (what a job) I recommend a fuel filter change, too. I say this not because I am smart but because I was not smart. OOOps, I mean my friend was not smart.
Generally good advice. I just changed my filter 6 months ago. It's easy to get to. Wish I could say the same about the fuel pump.

Well, not to start a war of pizza preferences or anything...

But this cracked me up. :)

People think the only pizza in Chicago is deep dish. Au Contraire'! Makes up about 10 - 20% of all pizza consumed in Chicago. Thin crust is still most prevalent and it is awesome and I'd put it against NY pizza any day of the week. Deep dish is awesome too but is more special occasion for most people. It's heavy, real heavy. It was invented in Chicago so everyone thinks that is the only kind of pizza we eat.

Tin foil hat but....yesterday according to "news" sources, supposedly the FBI wanted everyone to reboot their router (ie back to default state) because of a "Russian (of course) malware threat". Of course, I completely ignored it. Today at precisely 8 am, my DNS server stopped working - probably because I had the magic 1.1.1.1 input. Started working again as soon as I switched to "default settings". Coincidence?

Saw the title about that on youtube but didn't bother to watch..

Well,I was major distracted from Manjaro forum by an update to one of the sci-fi stories I read,
For those that like sci-fi reading here are a couple of links, bear in mind this can be very gruesome and has much swearing/language.I just finished chapter 46 which is long as have the last bunch that come out at the end of the month.
Here is some background info : The Kevin Jenkins Experience
Quick link to chapter one : The Deathworlders
back to Manjaro forum now for me................

I'm guessing that whatever you were drinking last night must be what they put in Ambien -though Ruth Chris sure sounds better than liver dog biscuits........:D
