went to work to do a delivery... since it was 1:25 am, I had to pull the part... got the order and the part is located in 3B...
ummm nope... spent the next 45 minutes looking in the places where other "unfindable" parts have been found... not there either... so I decided to look once more in the mess and I found it... on the bottom of the stack label faced to the floor....and get this... its label was coded for 3B ( so in other words, it got dumped right inside the cage and left there, no one took the time to walk another 70 feet and place it in the bin)

so... I made a location/Bin# sign and hung it on the fence where all this mess is... and it sez...

Location: Bin# - - -
Im too lazy to put these up

probably going to hear from HR department on monday...

how to turn the general populace into zombies...

give the populace something fun to have ( Cell phones)
add to that a condition as to where everyone wants to have it on all the time ( Social media)
use a transmission frequency at or near the same frequency of a microwave oven
bake their brains very slowly

cell phones use transmission frequency of 800-2400 Mhz
microwave ovens use the frequency of 2300 - 2450 Mhz to heat/cook food

think about it ... before its too late ;)

Nothing magical here except for extraordinary heat. We may get some rain this weekend. That would be nice, since that wind has put the landscape in a bad situation.

I finally finished repotting my outdoor plants this morning. I have been working on it a while. The propagation of leaves may not go too well in this heat, but I'm still trying. I have cuttings going too, and I have my fingers crossed that they will make it. I went through a ton of soil during the past few days. I also mixed up special cactus and succulent soil, and I keep that in a locking plastic box. That way when I need to hopefully pot up some babies, it will already be ready to go.

I LOVE that you did that. Back in our day, if someone did as you did, the ones responsible would be ashamed of themselves. Now you get reported and chastised for upsetting the snowflakes.

yup... snowflake is the proper term... one hot word and she melts instantly and makes all sorts of phone calls...
but yet, let anyone do something that "cramps her style" and she is all over them...

think Im gonna start putting my signed original Proofs of Delivery ( PODs) somewhere other than on her desk where she expects them to be every morning.... let her get a taste of trying to find something other than where it is supposed to be.... let the Easter Egg Hunt begin

Speaking of snowflakes....

Some fifth graders decided homework was “too stressful” and started a petition. The school district is considering it. The kids are being praised for taking on the problem and getting their concerns heard.

The article mentions that getting rid of homework would help out the poor kids whose parents work at night and aren’t their to help them with homework.

My parents NEVER helped me with homework. Yet, somehow I was a happy straight A student.

Fifth-graders start petition to end homework; now their school district is reviewing its policies

So I have been trying Pineapple Upside-down Cake from HHV for three or four days now. Very good.
I can extract my own tobacco flavors, but I can't even come close to Heather's sweet and bakery flavors.
I don't know how she makes them so authentic.

Another FYI for the Army members looking in to linux . When you first boot up before installing , in any distro or desktop , the first thing you need to do is go in to the settings and disable all power saving features , screen locking and screensavers . Having the hard drive go in to suspend or hibernate will screw up your installation and you'll have to start over , having the screen lock on you is a PITA . The system looks for mouse activity to determine whether or not to suspend etc. . The reason they're enabled to begin with in the live environment indicates how it will work on your PC when it's installed so it's on by default . It's also the first thing you should do after installing because you will need to update the system and again hibernation can screw things up if you don't pay attention . I learned this crap the hard way , so ya'll don't have to hopefully . There are other things that need to be done after installation but that depends on distro IE. Mint , Manjaro etc and desktop IE KDE , Cinnamon , etc . I'll cross that bridge when needs be .

    Heather has mad skills. :)

She is also an absolute sweetheart. Adam is too. Some of the funniest, warmest, most down to earth people you could ever meet.

I know for sure that they are doing HHV to help people. Everyone who works for them or with them is treated like family. It still amazes Heather that HHV has done so well.

I’m delighted to do my small part in design and whatnot to keep them in business.

Added to my notes from you for when I finally get brave (and smart) enough to go for it. Thanks!

    Today’s foodie adventure!

This morning I was watching “Great Chefs Of New Orleans” which was filmed in the 80’s. This time featured Chef Willy Colin. Too bad it’s before @retic1959 ’s time, or I could watch him make food magic. :)

The show goes through how to make each item of a 4 course meal. When I saw lavosh bread, I had to try it! I love lavosh bread or crackers.

The sprinkle of smoked paprika (the real stuff, not chemical smoke flavoring) was my addition, along with some garlic powder in the dough. This was incredibly easy to make. It’s light and crispy.

Now if I could just learn the trick of sprinkling that paprika evenly without little clumps! It doesn’t come in a shaker jar. Very tricky to do without a shaker!

Flour, warm water, yeast, sugar. 350 for 20 minutes. There’s a video at the link.
