Uhhhh...well......we just "happened" to walk into Petsmart, to get cat fud, and they have an adoption program for cats from the local shelter...and Buttons just happened to be there, a grey tuxedo with 4 white socks. And he was so little and....and ..... we gave him a hug and..and...and haven't shopped there since. I DAREN'T go by the adoption cages Eek!!!

Good morning Army!! :)

Cats that eat mice and birds live to five and die. Cats that eat kibbles live to 15. :)

understandable... after 5 or six, they are too old to chase them down... how long do you think you could live chasing down a deer and catching it with your teeth? ;)

Yea, if he comes by I'll have to ask him.
Hey BK, where's your buddy ?

he downloaded a new game... "Path of Exile"... and I made the same "mistake"... its addictive and designed pretty much like Diablo. Basically a hackemwackem level building game along with quests and puzzle/mystery solving to boot. Very time consuming... I blew my whole sunday ( 5am-8pm) playing it.. I did get manage to get my character to lvl 20 :)

While the vet's office is packed with dried food, the recommendation is to provide mostly wet food, because dry food is carb city. And cats will get fat, get diabetes and so on. However, that recommendation only works insofar as kitty is well and doesn't require special diets from the vets, and whether they self monitor their food, (will they walk away when they're full or just shovel it in, because it's there). With my 2, one is an eater, and the other isn't. I think also that dried food is popular because it's easy to serve and easy to clean. Personally, I provide 2 servings of wet food, and a side of crunchies to each of mine. You can probably figure out what Munchie does :D. Buttons however is either real picky, or doesn't even think about overeating, Not sure which it is at this point. Perhaps I haven't figured out his favorite flavors. :)

Buttons is a surprise to me too! I thought I missed the happy announcement. Like you, I have to avoid going near adoption opportunities. I fall in love on sight. One hug and I’d be a goner. I’m happy for you and Munchie and Buttons! Do they get along? Song was our first kitty. She has NEVER forgiven us for bringing Tigg home. But they tolerate each other and try not to cross paths too often. :D

Tigg is my overeater. I had a cat long ago who used to eat blades of grass specifically when she needed to barf. I’d leave her outside for what I thought was a long enough time to get it done. Never failed, she’d hold it in until she was inside. And until she was on carpet.
