I agree Fresh Grindz is good, and clean burning. I have a mix of it and HT going right now. Well I guess everyone woke up from their slumber. Took me a while to read all the posts, as it should be! We need multiple quotes and pictures. That makes me think of Chak. I still miss him!

Classwife, that is a cute kitty. It reminds me of my son's cat he had when he was a kid. The cats name was Mario.

Papaw, good to hear from you again. I hope you feel better asap.

I actually had two plants get a bit sunburned yesterday, I couldn't believe it. I had to water some again today. I also mixed up more soil, and put it in my container. That way when I need it, it is ready to go.

Question for those here owned by cats: How often per day do you feed them wet food? And do they have a bowl of kibble to hit up throughout the day?

The cats that own me are 11 and 10 yrs old. Both at healthy weights. They seem to do best on wet food. The kibble they’ve had is grain-free and as all natural as I could find. But lately I’ve given them less kibble and there’s less barfing. (TMI - sorry!)

Long ago I read that it’s unnatural for a cat to eat kibble. They are true carnivores. Just wondering what others do. :)
While the vet's office is packed with dried food, the recommendation is to provide mostly wet food, because dry food is carb city. And cats will get fat, get diabetes and so on. However, that recommendation only works insofar as kitty is well and doesn't require special diets from the vets, and whether they self monitor their food, (will they walk away when they're full or just shovel it in, because it's there). With my 2, one is an eater, and the other isn't. I think also that dried food is popular because it's easy to serve and easy to clean. Personally, I provide 2 servings of wet food, and a side of crunchies to each of mine. You can probably figure out what Munchie does :D. Buttons however is either real picky, or doesn't even think about overeating, Not sure which it is at this point. Perhaps I haven't figured out his favorite flavors. :)

Thank you !
I wasn't sure if I was ready yet. I still miss Merlin so badly.
But I think Louie is a good fit for us.
Congratulations Classy! The original kitty mix-up must be because it was Louie who was ordained to be yours. :) In my case, when Chiffy and later GD died, hubs and I pretty much immediately went to get another rescue kitty. Difficult to explain, but their deaths left a huge cat soul hole in our home if that makes any sense? (quiet, Bronze:p). They never replace your earlier buddies, but they quickly make their own space in your hearts and house.

So you're cooking now. Does that mean Mamaw is driving a truck? Adds new meaning to the term, "Wife swapping".

No, Bronze. I am grilling. Mamaw still fusses about the mess I make in her kitchen.
And Mamaw doesn't drive manual transmissions, so trucking is out for her.
The Bacon Cheddar Burgers were delicious. The grilled summer squash, not so much. Olive Oil just doesn't do much for squash in my book.

Not a problem here. Urlacher will eat anything that doesn't attack, and then he will try to rip whatever that is open. But Sheppard is a breed with notoriously light stomachs. Different problem.
Mamaw's Beagle, Lily, with eat anything and everything. Fat wench.

I missed something along the way. I remember Durakitty going to pet heaven and I remember Replaceakitty didn't live long and I remember you getting Munchie but I don't remember you getting Buttons.

I did. 1 tsp of garlic salt with 1/3 cup of Olive Oil.
Maybe I need minced garlic, and more of it ???

Garlic salt shoulda been ok...and also with some pepper.
But nothing beast fresh smushed garlic in/on anything :)

After you mix your oil - taste it !

Oh I love Maine .... cats, they are so cute & BIG.

Before I knew he was a Maine .... and learned about them, I always thought that the dog food made him so huge. I mean he was as big as a medium dog. Then I found out about there being a breed that he belonged to. He was an amazing cat. <3

Yea, if he comes by I'll have to ask him.
Hey BK, where's your buddy ?
I'm here , try peeling a lemon and chopping the peel up as fine as you can get it and throw that in the olive oil along with fresh chopped garlic , some rosemary and salt and pepper . Throw that on your veggies and marinate them for a coupla hours , sub out Balsamic vinegar and a little honey for the lemon zest if you like .

And he was so little and....and ..... we gave him a hug and..and...and haven't shopped there since. I DAREN'T go by the adoption cages Eek!!!
