And when do they do the blood work?

When I get there I get weighed, temperature, blood pressure checked. Then blood draw and urine sample. They check on site and if all comes back within range (or barely out of range) then the go ahead for chemo.

The port makes all of the blood draws a piece of cake.

I have them use the port for CT and PET scans. Saves my arms being poked. :lol:

Oh, so when you go in you never know if you'll have a chemo session. Maybe, maybe not.

    and how's our retic? Any advancement on the second opinion or perhaps I should say the wait list for surgery options in your future? {{}}
    Gonna see another surgeon in a coupla weeks , any way I look at it I'm screwed so no rush for more bad news .

    Yep, surgery like that typically screws one up. It's just a matter of degree. Some get screwed up very little (or not at all), others get screwed up bad. It is certainly worth your effort to minimize it if or where you can.

    I got my HHV order in today. :)
    That was the good news.

    The bad news is the old dog's time was up after all. I knew something wasn't right. This morning I knew I couldn't let it go on any longer. He was in pain. I think he was 15, and he was born in July. So he might've been 16. I can't remember the day for sure.
