My favorite memory of Chak was when he got that drone. I knew it wouldn't be but a matter of a few days and that thing was gonna either be a twisted pile of wreckage or take off where he could never find it. Sure enough... Our country should give Chak a debt of gratitude for going into the Navy instead of the Air Force. :)

@kkay59 i was driving home from the grocery store this afternoon at 330pm. Got in my car, 112, drove a mile, 114, another mile to my driveway.. 116. My plants are all dead, except for the cactus. But that’s what it’s like here every darn year! Must be awful when it’s not your norm. Glad to here it’s cooling down a bit. Hope you get a break soon (bc I know I’m not!).

April, I had some people from Tucson come to my office on Friday. They were complaining about the heat in Texas. I've been to Tucson many times, and it seems just as hot there as Phoenix. Must be the humidity here.

Pappy, the heat wasn't too bad today. It was two degrees hotter than our average temp for July. Our humidity is the kicker though. Thankfully the humidity wasn't too bad today. It was still hot, but not boiling like it has been. Arizona is getting hit with a heat wave now though. I haven't been there, so I can't say how it compares. Thanks for letting me know the Arizona folks were complaining about the heat. That tells ya something right there.

As far as Chak, I always liked the fact he was on here a lot. Even late at night, he would be here. Now late at night it is pretty slow in this thread. Chak was the kind of guy that everybody seemed to like. He was helpful to new people too. I loved how he doted on his wife. He had lovely plants in their place, and food galore. The food pictures made me hungry! He was always working on honey do lists from his wife. He was so laid back. He was of course a music fan too. Plus we had to talk about the navy a little bit. I saved a couple of his pictures on my computer to take a look at now and then. Thanks Bronze for posting that photo of him. I sure miss him.

Good morning army

back in Germany for now. Had a wonderful time in Cincy, dog survived, house still standing :D
Scored a software development gig with my buddy, I hope that turns into a long term cooperation. Next time around I'm coming to stay (and find a place of my own)

I bought a Juul back in February and like it a lot as secondary device. It's light and slides into my pocket easily to help me out when my primary vape runs out of batteries or juice. It's also good as a stealth device for a quick vape at bathrooms and such ;) - that's what the kiddos do nowadays in high school, that's why the Juul has kind of a bad reputation and the media went crazy about it - it's all about the chiiiildren.

It contains nic salts @50mg/ml. Nic salts allow for higher nic level without being too harsh. I could never vape 50mg regular nic, but with the Juul it's alright. The draw is more cigarette-like, i.e. expect MTL/restricted DTL and not a dense warm vape unless you suck on it really hard.

I don't really like their stock flavors, the only one I deem "good" is the Vanilla Custard (iirc). The fruit thing they have in the starter pack (forgot the name) and the "tobacco" flavor are vapeable, but nothing I would pay for :)
That being said the pods are overpriced imho, but they can be easily refilled. Just pry open at the top and remove the rubber inlay and refill. Lots of youtube videos out there on doing that.
I have never bought new pods so far, refilling them with 50% DF and 50% of unflavored nic salt from Nude Nicotine (I prefer the "smooth" variety) to be around 50mg as well.
You don't want to use heavy VG juices because then you might get a burnt taste. With ~60/40 or more PG it vapes well.

To me those nic salts (maybe combined with the Juul cigalike experience, dunno) did the trick to free me from dual use. Haven't touched a cig since March. Couldn't do that before trying out salts/Juul.
Have mixed "up" all my HHV juices with NN salt nic to be around 20-25mg for my regular vapes as well. As said, never could do anything beyond 9-12mg on regular nic without coughing and that hi nic level obviously did the trick for me.

TL;DR: Get one, they are not bad :)

PS: 100% PG nic salt @50mg in a Juul is a perfect stealth vape. No vapor at all and no smell ;)

This is great info! Thanks for posting all that. I have one question: you’ve used and refilled the pods since February and the coils are still good? I’m picturing the way old-style disposable coil cartridges were. I was lucky to get one last for a week before it became clogged and tasted burnt. It became expensive and that’s how I got into rebuildables. Well, that - and badgering from @retic1959 and @Bronze to give it a try. ;)

They and many others here are the reason I managed to succeed at it. And it’s thanks to @Bronze that I work with HHV. I’ll never be able to thank him enough!

Brilliant idea to mix HHV with nic salts. At this point it would be awesome for HHV to release nic salt versions of the most popular flavors. I know Halo has nic salt versions now. But I don’t know how they can get away with that after the FDA deeming. You can’t release new flavors (or new devices) without getting pre-market approval. Which is prohibitively expensive to do. Technically, it’s a new product even if it’s otherwise the same recipe. Anything after 8/8/16 is new. It’s going to be interesting to see if there are any legal challenges for companies like Halo.

Big congrats on your new gig! Very nice!

That's correct, haven't rebuilt those pods yet and I'm not sure if that's doable.
Since this is just my secondary/stealth vape I probably haven't refilled them more than 5 times each (4 pods in the starter pack). Given the small amount of liquid it holds and being a low power device so far the taste is still good. Wicking in these pods is silica I think and it still wicks well enough for that small device.

(I'm not a frequent rebuilder anyway, just swapped out a coil on a Squape E[c] which I think was the first coil I put in it when I got it - which was in February :D)

HHV with salts would be great, but better stay under FDA's radar...

Thanks on the congrats - now I gotta deliver. peanuts, right? :)

Good morning all!

Good morning all!

Indeed! And it’s always time to make the donuts.

I missed offering further, even bigger congrats on dropping the cigs!

Since getting into pre-made Clapton coils, I rarely do a full rebuild anymore. My rolls of kanthal sit unloved in my bone box. It’s on the “someday” list to try my hand and whipping that kanthal into my own twisted coils. I’ll just end up with a lot of steampunk style but unusable “art.” :D

I rather prefer long distance runs.... the short in the downtown runs suk... Im amazed that the smart people work in offices downtown but have no idea how to drive... I suppose nature allows us so much intelligence in one aspect or the other but not both....
