So my daughter, the older one, has been using a juul for a while now. Normally I just keep doing my thing with my coils and tanks and figure I know more than she does.... BUT.... I’m a little envious of the ease she has when it’s time for a new pod. Does anyone know much about these systems or can point me where to look? I think it would be handy for travel, or out and about, when I am looking to not fuss with things. Not as a total switch over just something different for certain times.

I’ve searched the forum and only see a few threads. I might not be looking in the right areas or they aren’t talked about much?

Report back if you get one! I’m very curious about them too. But I like a warm, dense vape so it might not be worth it for me.

He feels it with his body , I've watched Rat snakes that I've kept go up an interior wall using the slight imperfections in the paint to grip and climb , they're designed to go any place a rodent can go . It also means they're great at raiding chicken coops so some places they're called Chicken snakes .

Okay, that’s freakin cool! I’m glad @MostlySunny was the first to admit to a likely girly scream. I’d probably do that. And move faster than this old body should be able to move! :D

I hate water moccasins with a passion. They are mean, and they are extremely aggressive here.

Tonight when I took the dogs out, it was a little cool already. I was relieved to feel that for sure. It did get up to 102 today the weatherman said.

Bronze, I put the Caramel Apple Tobacco in the Reo this evening. I am glad I bought it. I haven't had that juice in a while, and it is good. I have my mainstays, but I like something different now and then as well.
CAT is a great alternative vape. Very tasty. But youre right, not an ADV.

i think Id rather have a snake in my house instead of a rat... snakes dont chew up your stored dry goods and make squealy noises all nite and thump around in the attic.... :)

but than again if you had a snake in the house .... you wouldnt have rats ;)

I would never want to live in the desert, or deal with these temps consistently. If this is your normal, I guess you are used to it. When I was younger, the heat didn't bother me near as much as it does now. I prefer cooler temps without a doubt. I also like trees and hills. I love the mountains. I could never live on flat land with no trees, especially in high heat. I love shade trees, and they really have saved me. It is much cooler and prettier with them, in my opinion.

I don't have Prime either, I can't afford it. I don't even have Netflix anymore. (nor satellite)

I do have internet though, and I plan to keep it if at all possible. I have wondered if we were better off without it though, lately.

Good morning army

back in Germany for now. Had a wonderful time in Cincy, dog survived, house still standing :D
Scored a software development gig with my buddy, I hope that turns into a long term cooperation. Next time around I'm coming to stay (and find a place of my own)

I bought a Juul back in February and like it a lot as secondary device. It's light and slides into my pocket easily to help me out when my primary vape runs out of batteries or juice. It's also good as a stealth device for a quick vape at bathrooms and such ;) - that's what the kiddos do nowadays in high school, that's why the Juul has kind of a bad reputation and the media went crazy about it - it's all about the chiiiildren.

It contains nic salts @50mg/ml. Nic salts allow for higher nic level without being too harsh. I could never vape 50mg regular nic, but with the Juul it's alright. The draw is more cigarette-like, i.e. expect MTL/restricted DTL and not a dense warm vape unless you suck on it really hard.

I don't really like their stock flavors, the only one I deem "good" is the Vanilla Custard (iirc). The fruit thing they have in the starter pack (forgot the name) and the "tobacco" flavor are vapeable, but nothing I would pay for :)
That being said the pods are overpriced imho, but they can be easily refilled. Just pry open at the top and remove the rubber inlay and refill. Lots of youtube videos out there on doing that.
I have never bought new pods so far, refilling them with 50% DF and 50% of unflavored nic salt from Nude Nicotine (I prefer the "smooth" variety) to be around 50mg as well.
You don't want to use heavy VG juices because then you might get a burnt taste. With ~60/40 or more PG it vapes well.

To me those nic salts (maybe combined with the Juul cigalike experience, dunno) did the trick to free me from dual use. Haven't touched a cig since March. Couldn't do that before trying out salts/Juul.
Have mixed "up" all my HHV juices with NN salt nic to be around 20-25mg for my regular vapes as well. As said, never could do anything beyond 9-12mg on regular nic without coughing and that hi nic level obviously did the trick for me.

TL;DR: Get one, they are not bad :)

PS: 100% PG nic salt @50mg in a Juul is a perfect stealth vape. No vapor at all and no smell ;)

I don’t have a Prime either, but I chimed in on some stuff. Being a weirdo is not so bad. Even better when there’s more than one of us. ;)

They let me in...

I’ve tried hers and it’s fine. It would be just for times when I’m off and running and don’t feel like being bothered.

@woita THANK YOU!!!!! That was pretty much all the info I was looking for. I have my daughter on the monthly shipment for refills. It doesn’t seem to be too expensive due to her relatively low usage. I see there are other brands of pod systems and I wonder how they compare.

We have mountains and trees. Weird looking trees but we have them. Phoenix has lots of mountains actually. I was surprised when I first moved here, it’s not the flat desert you think of. There’s beauty in nature any where you go. Just need to be open to it. It’s not that bad. I also get out of here as often as possible :)

you're welcome.

I have tried the "my. von erl" as well. they're basically the same thing. however the von erls don't have nic salts iirc, so lower nic level and hence didn't satisfy my nic craving out of the box.
so I have mostly used the juul when vaping a pod system.
the times i tried the von erl with refilled juice i had a bit of flooding, too. but that may just as well have been my bad. apart from that I'ld say they're pretty much alike. a big advantage of the "von erl" is you can charge it directly with a usb cable vs having to use the juul-charging-device+usb with the juul, i.e. no direct usb connection.

Well that is good to know. When I was young, I was surrounded by woods. I loved the woods, and I guess I always will. I could play in the woods, and it was cooler than out in the sunlight. The soil was almost black, and very easy to dig. My dad would send us to get nightcrawlers to fish with. They were never in short supply, and it was right across the street. We used to swing on the vines that climbed the trees there. Little did I know they were mostly poison ivy vines back then. Luckily I must've built up a tolerance to them. Now, who knows I might be allergic to them. I won't test it to try it out.

I think of desert as hot and dry in the day, and cool at night. No trees, and lots of sand. Cactus and rattlesnakes also come to mind. I like cactus, but rattlesnakes and scorpions are not something I would want to be around. West Texas might be similar to your area, I don't know. I have never been there. I notice it isn't nearly as populated as the rest of Texas.

you can feel a lemon, you can taste a lemon, you can even smell a lemon... but what is happening when you look at a lemon??
Do we actually see a lemon or are we seeing an image of a lemon.... we see photons being reflected off of the lemon into our eyes... and photons move at the speed of light...

so the question is.... is everything we see moving at the speed of light?? ;)
