And another week begins! Gonna be a hot, hot one here. School starts next week. I don’t mind saying I look forward to that. By August, they really really need something better to do. I can tell by how LOUD the commotions are in the pool. :)

HOA changed to a keyless entry in the pool area. They also have the security guard enforcing a pool closure time of 11 pm. You can’t get in after that. So there are far fewer raucous groups out there at 2 am.

Except the other night. A rowdy group that woke me at 3 am. They had hopped the gate and didn’t bother keeping quiet about it. They were shouting and laughing. Because rules are for other people.

obviously rules are for other people since other people made them up.... ;)
and the sad thing about it... the people who make them up dont follow them either o_O

Isn't THAT the truth!!!

I've seen late night fights out there that made me think blood would be spilled soon. Some seem to feel that bathing suits are optional. And I've seen people engaging in activities out there that I wish I'd never seen. After that, I sure don't look out there much late at night!

I also will NEVER be using the hot tub or the pool. Yikes! :censored:

Evening.....I agree on the hot....and I see we have another label change to meet the rules..o_O

Yep. New labels were painful to create this time. Ugh. Pretty, aren't they? (Not.)

The FDA specified the percentage of the panel area, placement, font and size, and number of warnings that had to be present.

Land of the free....

Chlorine, Bromine are your best friends when it comes to pools and hot tubs.... Fluorine works really well too, but it is a bit harsh...

but the best yet is chlorine trifluoride ( ClF3) really nasty stuff...

Chlorine trifluoride - Wikipedia

heres an excerpt... btw hypergolic means it will make things burn intensely ( its an extreme oxidizer even tho oxygen isnt needed)

It is, of course, extremely toxic, but that's the least of the problem. It is hypergolic with every known fuel, and so rapidly hypergolic that no ignition delay has ever been measured. It is also hypergolic with such things as cloth, wood, and test engineers, not to mention asbestos, sand, and water—with which it reacts explosively. It can be kept in some of the ordinary structural metals—steel, copper, aluminum, etc.—because of the formation of a thin film of insoluble metal fluoride which protects the bulk of the metal, just as the invisible coat of oxide on aluminum keeps it from burning up in the atmosphere. If, however, this coat is melted or scrubbed off, and has no chance to reform, the operator is confronted with the problem of coping with a metal-fluorine fire. For dealing with this situation, I have always recommended a good pair of running shoes.

do the other nic products have to follow the same rules?

Not sure which other nic products you mean, but anything e-cig related (including gear) has to carry the nic warning. And gear manufacturers have to submit “ingredient” lists - every component, down to the screws. I don’t know whether any US gear makers are still around, but they haven’t been permitted to sell anything new since 8/8/2016. Not legally anyway unless they have obtained pre-market approval from the FDA.

LOL! It goes by chronological age - but don’t give them any ideas! I’m emotionally stuck at 17 and if they find out, they’ll ban me from vaping!

Underage sale prohibited notices are meant to demonstrate that HHV is not trying to lure minors into vaping. Any colorful ads, pictures of candy, etc. could get us into trouble. Product photos on the site are considered ads.

No, silly BK, minors cannot purchase zero nic e-liquids. All vendors have to include the nic warning even on zero nic juices. So, we either comply with the FDA or we “lie” to customers and confuse the heck out of them because the label says that the zero nic juice we mixed for them DOES contain nicotine. I’ll be putting explanations on the site and on the packaging lists that go out with the orders. It’s a mess.

Working on FDA compliance has turned my hair even whiter. :)

And don’t get me started on the hypocrisy of flavored booze! They are trying to addict the children to alcohol!!! Protect the children! Who cares about the rights of adults? (See, you got me started....)

Hilarious and informative! Even if they cleaned that hot tub with chlorine trifluoride, I ain’t going in it. Because they can’t clean the images out of my head. I’m scarred for life, I tell ya. ;)

Someone created a free app (iOS and Android) called MOV Warnizer. It automatically adds the nic warning to any photo.

Someone else had the idea to tag the FDA on all such photos on Twitter. You know - all in good fun and all that.

Not that I endorse such an idea. It’s tantamount to trolling. ;)

This was the photo I tested it on. This dress is on my Christmas list.

then the makers of all drinks sodas etc need to place a warning that they may contain alcohol too ;)
